Oh, and can someone clarify something about Z Moves for me? I know that a Pokemon can't use more than one Z Move per battle, but can you use multiple Z Moves using different Pokemon? Meaning that, for example, if I have my Primarina use a Z Move, will my Arcanine be able to use one too?
You can only use one Z Move during a battle. Your Z Ring is a one-use-per-battle item no matter how many Pokemom on your team are carrying Z Stones.

Speaking of low catch rates, let's talk about my adventures in attempting to catch an Alolan Vulpix. 10% encounter rate at Tapu Village and I still went over 30 minutes without seeing one. Then when I finally saw one, my Ribombee killed it with a max-affection critical hit. Cue another 20 minutes of searching, then getting stuck in an SOS battle for like six Vulpixes when I finally get one... and the nature was shit. (Thankfully the game had mercy on me and gave me a Timid one like immediately after.)

Nope. One Z-Move per trainer per battle.

My own question now, for anyone who may know: With Super Training gone, is there another way to reset EVs in this gen, or am I going to have to re-breed new Pokemon after the main game, in the event that I decide to subject myself to that kind of shit for some reason?

Does anyone know how to get shiny starters? I really want a white female Litten to name Kirara! ^^;;

Two options besides trading for one, as far as I know:

1) Soft reset your game at starter selection until you get a shiny one. Save just before the point at the beginning of the game where you would get your starter, then pick your starter, and hope it turns out shiny - if it doesn't, press L+R+Start and try again (it's quicker than going back to the Home menu and reloading the game).
2) Plop it in the daycare center with a suitable partner and farm eggs until you get a shiny. You'll need either a female starter (plus a male from the same egg group) or a Ditto for that, though. If the previous games are anything to go by, your chances are better if you have two parents from different parts of the world, like your English starter with a Japanese Ditto for instance, so I'd recommend hitting up the GTS to look for a parent from a different geographical region than you.

It really all comes down to being really lucky.

Is there any way to hack them? I'd be okay with that. ^^; I'm not gonna trade her, just hoarde her in my pokemon kitty collection.

Ugh, that's lame. Mega Evolution is a way better mechanic.
You still get to use Mega Evolution, they give you a Mega Ring and Alakazite sometime after you beat the League.

Don't know where to get the other Mega Stones yet, but you bet your arse I'm getting my hands on that Gengarite one way or another.

There's a great source of money daily. You can go to Hano Beach (on Akala Island) and speak to a hotel attendant standing by a lifeguard tower. He'll ask you if you want part-time work chucking Pyukumuku off the beach. All you have to do is find the six Pyukumuku on the beach and press A.

You get 20,000 Pokedollars for doing this, and again, it's a daily thing.

Just got through the League and mother of mercy, my Midnight Lycanroc, Kujo, saved my behind from whiting out. His Counter came in so handy with OHKOing some annoying enemies.

And the battle theme against the Tapu's is amazing.

If by reset you mean reduce EVs so that you can train and reallocate them where they're needed, there have been berries (Pomeg, Kelpsy, Qualot, Hondew, Grepa, and Tamato) for a few generations that reduce EVs.

"Welcome to the Pokemon Center, you're up late!"
It's 6:30 bitch, no I'm not.

@sgetti I have an arctic fox breeding pair in my game. If you want, I can breed you one. Just let me know (and PM me your friend code if you're interested.) I have TMs for ice beam, frost breath, and double team- most of the god TMs, really- I can teach it whatever you'd want.

Is anyone going to want a Litten? I'm going to get a ditto soon. @Ido has dibs on the first one, but I'm open to breeding more after that.

I'll be pulling in a Ditto on my game soon. I've got Decidueye and Drampa that I can breed to give anyone who wants a Rowlet and Moon-version exclusive; still trying to get a goddamn Oranguru but I have no luck finding them (not sure if their encounter rate is low or what).

I'll post in here again once I've got some eggs/hatchlings I can trade out.

So, Nanaki the Litten became Torracat and he is doing well.

Caught a Pichu a while ago and named it "Benimaru" a nod to the Pichu I had back in HeartGold. Both Beni and Nanaki have full affection hearts.

I ran out of Poke Beans sadly, though.

You've gotta spend all your beans upgrading the first island in poke pelago.
Also, I've only seen one ditto (that I accidentally KO'd.) 5% encounter rate my ass. It seems like it's less than 1%!

Ok, so I got my ditto and the breeding is beginning. Once a good hack comes out for my firmware version I'm also gonna start injecting like crazy, because only getting one of each of the generation 2 balls in the game is the straw that broke the camel's back for me.

Will be really fun once Pokebank starts working and people start transfering their stuff from the gen 1 virtual console games to Sun/Moon...
