It's more that she's delusional and while her senses might be fucked up I would imagine it's more in her head and the burger was fine but it's her psychosis that is making her think it's been tainted with something.

According to Pixy, Debbie allegedly forced Pixy to take tanning pills as well as bleach her hair. However, Pixy isn’t a reliable narrator. I am not saying it didn’t happen, I just don’t know if the tanning pills were forced on Debbie’s end or of it was some misguided attempt to look more olive toned because Pixy’s warped view is that Asian = yellow

I feel like this goes way beyond anxiety. Pixy’s thoughts come off as delusional and her beliefs seem unshakeable despite all of evidence to the contrary .

I DO think social media exacerbates it. But anxiety doesn’t cause you to crash your car because you believe you have hair worms.

Anxiety causes you usually to miss out on the things that make you anxious unless of course it’s health anxiety and such

On one hand it can give them a sense of friendship, information and support that they may not have otherwise. But the darker side of social media is bad enough for sane people as is. Mentally ill people are going to feel that even worse. She should just touch grass for awhile. But everyone who says they are taking a break from the drug that is social media usually comes back too early.

I remember the tanning pills. But I'm not sure if I remember that particular incident. But it's a likely scenario. I do remember someone posting that tanning pills can cause a lot of side effects.

I think a lot of her problems are from nerves and mental illness and bad hygiene. But there could be a lot of other things happening besides those that get overlooked because Pixy cannot conduct herself well enough to get to the bottom of any issies she is worried about.

Been saying this for years. The people who need the most help wind up turning to social media for help and then find that there are others out there with the same delusions. These then feed off each other. Like Targeted Individuals. It's nothing more than mental illness because the amount of resources, communication and sheer manpower necessary to pull these things off is crazy. Not only that but these people are all nobodies. And yet they all insist, "they can't ALL be mentally ill". And yes. They can.

Pixy was crazy to begin with. In spending time on teh intarwebs like she did she convinced herself that "X" was the reason why she had so many problems in her life.

It's like how in the early / mid 2000's that Asperger's Syndrome was making its rounds on the net and antisocial types would look at it and immediately diagnose themselves with having it. The reason was it gave them a reason to be the miserable shits they were and it took all the responsibility off them to change. "Well I can't change who I am. I have Asperger's so you just have to deal with it".

At least that's how I'm interpreting it.

I think if she’d never been exposed to the internet she could’ve managed life a little bit better.

I work in mental health. QIDP case manager working with drug court, sex offenders, mental illness and intellectual/developmental disabilities.

But, like FA's... what difference would it make if I was a licensed physician? "Oh--but you're not our queeeeeeeen's licensed physician!"

I just don’t think this is the case to begin with. Her hugbox made it worse, but there were always stories of her way before the internet where she was already showing abnormal behavior. She was obsessed with Japan for one, she truly believed she was Japanese for another because of a windchime, always had issues with people and work. It’s just that she’s deteriorated over the years as it does when you have untreated mental illness.

The more I think about Pixy, the more likely I think she has a combo of autism and mental illness (schizophrenia). But it’s impossible to tell because she’s unmedicated.

Autism doesn’t cause delusions, the mental illness does. And look, there’s really nothing wrong with having ASD, it can’t be helped. Temple Grandin has ASD and accomplished a lot.

Pixy’s parents thought they could force her to be normal.
