I was just unintentionally insulted by a client

TW: contains mentions of genitals

Context: I'm a caregiver to people with disabilities and/or special needs. I go to their home to assist in any way they need. The problematic statement came from today's client, who is mentally disabled and by no means malicious. I am not angry at anyone! Just sad...

I arrived at this client's home about an hour ago. The AC in my car needs to be recharged, so it was a really hot ride over here. So, I was a little sweaty (yes this matters) The first family member to greet me was the family dog, who proceeded to lick my legs incessantly. Then he repeatedly tried to hump me. Then I hear loud and firm, "You are a girl! You have a vagina!" And my heart just sank...

Again, I am not angry at this client! Just disheartened. This client genuinely has no idea, and I'm not in the mood to try explaining tonight

I know that I'm pre T, but I do generally pass as a younger version of my brother. Or pass as a man my age when I use a touch of makeup to accentuate my sharper features (which I didn't today because it's so hot outside) except for my voice, of course -_- I cannot stress this enough: I'm not upset with this client!

If nothing else he was probably clocked by his voice. I once clocked a TIM before I even saw him, just by hearing his voice and the way he spoke.

Edit to add about that pre-T dood mustache... Many women have such mustaches, especially of certain ethnic groups in which people are generally hairier. You just don't know it because they remove it. But you don't have to have PCOC to have such mustache as a woman.

If you're too soft and fragile to hear mean things from a mentally disabled person, child, or senile old person, you shouldn't be working in care. It's obvious that people like the pooner who made the post are in care to feel good about themselves.
They should be screened out in the application process but then I guess we'd be stuck with the very small number of care workers who are useful, and the rest would be the psychos who go into that field specifially to treat people who can't fight back like shit.

I would like to say there aren't enough rainbows in the world for that statement but he might be right in that the surgeon will ghost him after his payment clears. We all know he will see a surgeon again, but just maybe not THIS one.
