biden's year to run was 2016. His decision not to do so doomed the race for D, because the only other party favorite was hillary. I'm sure he knew that and it ate away at him during Trump's term. So now he's made the opposite mistake. Two years ago if he had followed through on his apparent intentions and groomed (heh) a successor, none of this would be happening.I always thought it was interesting how the first time around Obama dragged his feet in endorsing Biden. It was quite funny how long it took. It’s almost as if he knew he’d fuck up the Democratic Party and the country.
To be honest if he wasn’t Obama’s VP, he wouldn’t be president. Biden won back some of the voters that previously voted for Obama twice. He also benefitted from never Trump republicans and the sort of people who were angry at Trumps tweets. To be honest I think their decision of kicking Trump off Twitter for such a long time benefited Trump. Previously they had the nostalgia of the Obama years but that faded quite fast.
Or maybe the real problem was the bizarre way they went about picking a vp- because it's a huge slap to endorse anyone but her, yet no one seems to even imagine her taking over unless it's due to the 25th Amendment.
