Is it gonna be like the last election where trump and the moderator are debating while biden just stands there?

I for one am hoping for a trump presidency so we can see the return of trump-era "journalism":

I remember thinking that their 2020 debates were going to be hilarious, but they were nothing special aside from a few amusing moments. Probably gonna skip this for that reason alone and watch clips. One things for sure, Biden is going to be on every drug known to man to make him seem lucid.
 
How did the guy behind the Art of the Deal end up with CNN moderating the debate and having the power to cut his mic? If Biden is looking shaky, they will sweep it up hard for him.

the real baller move for trump would have been to refuse any debate unless it happens as an exclusive livestream on truth.social, and with tucker carlson as moderator

This seems even worse than going through the Commission on Presidential Debates, which has been the norm since 1987. At least with that they have to maintain a pretense of neutrality.

It wont even be plugged in.

This is their last big chance to save Biden. CNN will have this on a tape delay so they can dump any of bidens gaffs or lockup moments. They wont have a camera on him when he isn't speaking so people can't see his weird confused old man faces. And Tapper will be "fact checking" trump constantly trying to toss him off his game.

Trump's people better have their own camera running to keep them from creative editing, if not they are fucking retarded. CNN isn't even trying to pretend it wont be an ambush.

iirc Trump had been egging on Team Biden publicly over and over with phrasing like "anytime anywhere" so Team Biden threw up as awful a setup as possible, then were caught off-guard when Team Trump accepted the terms

I like the common idea I hear people suggest that Trump should mostly stand back and let Joe brainfart to death.
