Agreed, I use a .22 for small pests and .223 on coyotes but I always try to run them off first. If I have to kill an animal I want it to be quick and painless not fucking torture them.

I couldn't fathom drowning an animal if my life wasn't at risk, it takes a real psycho to do something like that and then laugh about it. I had a bad shot with my pistol on a raccoon once, it had gotten stuck in wire mesh while breaking into a chicken coop but then got itself unstuck within a second of being shot and ran away bleeding. I felt bad the whole week for maiming instead of killing it.

And as for the racoons, I assume he trapped them in the garage so he could stab and bludgeon them, raccoons are smart and would've booked it out the open door if they were being chased. Nick isn't athletic enough to catch them without trapping and cornering them.

I was a bit shocked in the last three months to hear Nick’s kids were still in a homeschool community and attending church twice a week.
