How to learn Endocrinology (self.TransDIY)

So I've heard that in order to do DIY safely you have to be your own endocrinologist. Bet. Any online resources/free courses to learn from?

There are many responses. None say "medical school." Note I think learning more about medicine if you have a medical problem is a good idea; if you have diabetes learn about insulin, if you have high cholesterol learn about lipids, at least so you can understand what your doctor is saying. Being your own doctor is crazy.

Assuming that you do actually want to study endocrinology, and are not just an aspiring DIYer who's been told "YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO BE YOUR OWN ENDO!!!1!," I recommend Rang & Dale's Pharmacology, Edition 7 or 8.
If you just want to learn enough to be able to work out what hormones to take, don't worry it's really simple. When you get hold of HRT, ask this subreddit what dose to start off on, and try to find blood tests to check your levels. You need to both check that your E levels are high enough, *and * that your T levels are suppressed. You can suppress T using higher doses of E, or by using an anti-androgen. You can find blood testing places on diyhrt.wiki

And a lot more. For more complex, life threatening stuff and possible genetic mutations etc which you may or may not encounter, you'll likely have to leave that to a doctor.

If ur looking for a university style education, look on places like coursa. Would suggest taking a bunch of nurse related courses and then specializing in endo.

I’ll have to say textbooks. But be ready, it’s a LOT…
