So in my excitement for JJBA coming to Toonami, I forgot to take into account the filthy casuals that would watch the show

"Toonami replaced One-Punch Man with this"
I thought people who enjoyed the over-the-top nature of OPM would also enjoy JJBA. I really don't understand how people can have this kind of shit taste.

A friend of mine shared this with me and I decided to share it with the rest of you... A classic cartoon from the dawn of anime:

Wow, the animation looks a lot better than the other black and white anime I've seen (the 1960's Osomatsu-kun); it's much more fluid. There's definitely an American influence, but anime as a whole has been influenced by American cartoons.

I see your catching on.

It's much more fluid because it's a theatrical cartoon, compared to something made on a TV budget.

GTO has always been one of my favorite mangas, and I like mafia crap, so I gave Gokusen a shot last night. I'm going to finish this series pretty fast, then probably check out the live-action version.

Speaking of yakuza, Gundam IBO season 2 thus far seems to be an improvement over the first season. Still, first part of season 1 was good but the show slowly ran out of steam by the halfway point. May end up making the bottom part of my top 10 Gundam shows, not going to be high though after wasting two cours, so here's hoping they really learned their lesson. Not seeing many suits I want to buy a model for though.

And for a yakuza hat trick, watched Outrage last night and Outrage Beyond tonight.

GTO is awesome. You should give the prequel, Shonan Junai Gumi, a try if you haven't done before, I think it's even better.

I've always wanted to check out the live action version, so I may be doing that soon. I never read SJG because it wasn't translated at the time (we're talking about a decade ago), and I only read part of the first sequel. I didn't find that as good, and I just kinda stopped paying attention to the releases.

Best anime btw

And only good anime from 2016 [Second place goes to Naria☆Girls]
Deal with it.

Classic spooky anime and manga, anyone?

They've been translating the manga this is based on for a while now and I've been intending to get myself a copy. It looks so very interesting...

Plus, for your edification, one of the worst anime films ever made:

Opinions/thoughts on FLCL? I started it years ago, never finished it, though. I was more flirting with anime back then than anything. Finally bought all three volumes on DVD, so I think I am finally gonna get around to watching it all the way through.
