Nights are "settling down", everything getting under control; Nick likes to "talk through problems"
They have been doing that for the last few months. And the last summer when he had long absences. And the summer before that...
Just waiting to see if he flakes on his 14 LOCALS streams in April or does ANY of his podcast series. Do you want to be he will count any of his podcasts he does on LOCALS to count toward 14 streams per month count?
can't do the Karen Read trial right now; plans to do shows with Joe, Dani Ahn, Lead Attorney, Drex
What legal authority does Drexel have to commentate?
Also, Joe was a sycophant, Dani was someone he liked making uncomfortable, and Lead Attorney acknowledging him validates Nick's own desire to be 'black'.
chat:"How hard is it to change the schedule?" -- "You're not a homeschooler of five children... it's fucking near impossible!"
This is infuriating because the average homeschooler still has to pay the bills. If they don't bring in a paycheck, then pretty soon they don't have a home to school in! That kind of disconnect from the way life works for everybody else convinces me more than anything else that he is being propped up by his grandparents' money.
Basically what ShinyStar said. I WISH my parents could have blown off employment as easily as Nick does to spend more time with me. It is infuriating to any one who had parents who wanted to be present but had to work long hours to survive.
Nick touted the benefits of working from home as him having more time to help with the children and house, but we know he barely does that and was reliant on the nanny to help shuffle people around. The state of his home is a wreck, by his own admission, so either he was lying then (and he is slacking) or he is MUCH too busy and needs to beat the children's schedules into a manageable format. The excuse that he is 'sacrificing for them' does not work with all the versions of excuses he has given.
Dad worked for Control Data and left with Steve Cray when he opened up Cray [According to Wikipedia that would have been 1972]; Dad worked for Cray for 35 years as a "software analyst or engineer... a troubleshooting guy", survived all the layoffs; changes in corporate America
Marking this for later reference.
At the same time, his alcohol consumption has gone up from 2-3 to 5-6 drinks in a three hour window. This affects him remarkably little except for mild slurring and general slowdown late in the show.
IIRC, it seemed like he could handle liquor a lot better in 2018-2021 and had about this number of glasses. My impression is that he added drugs to the mix, and they fucked up his body's response to alcohol.
Or he is using some drug to not experience the effects of alcohol until much later, then they hit all at once. Chasing that drug high he has cut back on?
STMS guy is flying very close to the sun between this and his wisecrack about not turning up to traffic court yesterday. Shower texts at midnight will come if he’s not careful.
With the galactic brain 'work' Nick tried to pull with The Farms by saying on a LOCALS stream that he was going to go to a drag show with a female audience member, but could not because of scheduling--then her pretending to freak out because her husband (they are now divorced, BTW, despite sharing Nick's takes that degeneracy is the glue of relationships) did not know, I would take this with grain of salt.
Nick and Aaron (Aaron especially, who reads this thread) seems desperate to get a W on the Farms. Caution.
