An article just came out detailing incidents like a TIF's baby died because she was in a car accident and the doctors didn't think to check if she was pregnant because they thought she was a man. Another TIF was severely injured because they intubated her with a male sized tube(?). Medicine and anesthesia dosages vary based on sex, etc. Like...sex is not some irrelevant concept that doctors made up to oppress gorgeous trans women. Ppl who actually know about science have confirmed for me that sex is much more complex than just suppressing T and injecting estrogen which: duh. The fact we even have to say this is bonkers.

we talk about this a lot, but there's sooo many troons who write they pass, and then I look at a selfie they posted and they don't even pass in that selfie where they manipulated the light and angle. They just don't understand because ppl are polite/don't want HR meeting/IT'S MAAM freak out doesn't mean they pass.

And they say "no, i can tell because I revealed myself to a girl at work and I could tell she was genuinely surprised!!" lol you're underestimating female socialization and how convincing we can be, especially since so many troons are autistic/want desperately to believe they pass anyway,

Few industries are more discriminating and reality based than the insurance industry. And highly sensitive to fraud. I wonder if they have a cautionary sentence or two in their paperwork (or explicit sex and gender ID boxes to fill out) to discourage parents from lying about their "daughters".

Thanks for those. I'll add them to my growing Avoidable TiF Tragedy list. Screwing around with how they are perceived has genuinely dire consequences for pooners sometimes. Especially in medical emergencies, FFS. Eventually people brought to the ER will have to get a DNA test before anything can be done to help them.

Fun Powerlevel: for work I recently had to complete California law sexual harassment and discrimination training. One of the examples used in the training was a transwoman being told he couldn't join a group of female employees for lunch because they told him he wasn't "girly enough." According to the training, this could count as discrimination based on gender identity, a protected characteristic, and the hypothetical troon could file an EEOC complaint (if he could find the time between masturbating and yelling at women on Twitter - unlikely, but this is a fictional scenario).
Some workarounds for this scenario:
"You can't eat with us cause this is only for people in X department/only for employees of more than 5 years experience/we don't know you well enough/some other bullshit that doesn't use the trigger word "girly"."
This legislation means troons will still be excluded because they are creepy weirdoes who are insane, but we just can't tell them why they're being excluded using gendered terms.
