A good tranny would be one that went through intensive CBT or the like so they can quiet their obsessive thoughts and desires. Even the ones that seem to be more at peace with themselves in this thread seem to do it by just accepting that their bodies will never be what they envisioned before. If that's possible post op, it should be possible pre-op.Nope sorry I don’t care how many IEDs blew up your friends in the desert, it’s not my problem. If I have to choose between a small number of men coming home from The War and eating a bullet to escape their trauma OR having to deal with the jumpscare of opening the ladies’ bathroom door in a Target to discover them visibly erect while taking bathroom selfies? Enjoy your Vitamin Pb, apply directly to forehead! ◡̈ The myth of the Good Tranny needs to just go away already. They are all disgusting.
As much as I don't feel bad for most of the individuals in this thread, on a systemic level I do think that what we are seeing is the result of the systemic abuse and exploitation of psychologically compromised individuals. Coombrained as they may be, the fact that this reoccurs as a regular fantasy over many decades, with potentially even the odd ancient example like Elagabalus, seems to show that some men are just susceptible to this sort of sexual fixation. Instead of being helped deal with it like other sufferers of OCD or autism, these dudes are sold the idea that they can magically transform into their object of fixation if they pay enough money. As we can see from this thread, it's mostly a miserable experience.
Even the focus on trans kids seems to be a least partially because trans kids have to be a thing for the dominant narrative to make sense. If trans identity isn't something so innate that it can never be changed, the argument that trans surgeries can be considered the first choice for life-saving care goes right out the window. All of the rhetoric is directed towards trying to enable rather than treat the delusion.
