So after 2 weeks of doing fuck all, he still doesn't have anything to post on his warhammer channel other than on the community page

So what, he's going to speak like an idiot after reading a wiki page? Numbskulls and Adeptus Ridiculous have both done "funny" versions of this, and aren't just 1 guy reading a script. I get that he wants a new channel to cover something different, and he likes orks. But making it a purely ork channel is even more of a niche than making a channel about japanese shit. nevermind that it seems like he's going to want to do a silly voice like a retarded british soccer hooligan or something.
 
Like so many washed-up, has-been YouTubers before him, the real solution here is to just get a real job. 40k content is ridiculously oversaturated as it is, and it appeals to a relatively small niche of autists anyway.
 
So he finally decided to post a video to his channel last week, and deleted his re-uploads from his main channel.

2 minutes in, he's already brought up the warcom post about inclusivity, that he doesn't care about ork lore(yet he's making an ork lore video?). Does silly ork voices, has some shitty drawings.. for the entire rest of the video.

I fucking called it. Took him almost a month to actually make a video, and he produced exactly the sort of garbage I assumed he would. Just a dumb version of the same re-hashed bullshit with no actual detail or in depth look at lore, etc. Even Numbskulls did the "teaching my girlfriend about orkz" with their own drawings that look better, voices that aren't grating, and actually did a better overall job with their almost hour long video 2 months ago that has almost 300k views as a result.
 
Ugggggghh god there are only two kinds of Ork players. The biggest fucking tourists, or the whitest of Greybeards. Orks are hard to play, fiddly little fuckers, that require good spacing and target priority. And require quite the collection to really make the best use of. And! Their fluff is way more interesting and exciting then oy guv i mek de meem magic appen with me funny bullshit. Because thats not how that fucking works anyway.

It only gets worse going back further where he's got a video series on how ninja a character from a video game is, a mess of videos talking about folklore references in games mostly about yokai. Damn near his entire 2019 year was just about whether or not a character is a ninja and explaining more yokai because video games, and occasionally talking about ninja characters in anime and manga. He can't make videos about Japanese media and culture because he knows nothing about those things outside of surface level weeb shit. So now he's moved on to yammering about surface level 40k ork specific shit.

He does talk about Japanese media and shit or at least he used to but a lot of his takes were just surface level at best.

He tries to come off like an expert but he's more like some guy on the outside looking in.

He still does, but only in the context of video games which is basically what he had always done other than the occasional trip to japan, talking about a convention, etc.

I have a theory about why his channel exists and why it's stuck in the shit state that it's in. 10 years ago there was fuck all on youtube or the internet about japan in general still, and it was an obviously untapped market and it showed because he got views and subscribers. That would have been roughly around the same time Abroad in Japan started, not too long before Dogen starts doing his videos, a bit before Paolo from Tokyo, Tokyo Lens, John Daub started his Only in Japan thing(and has rebooted it a couple of times) I think back in 2012? You get my point. Back when Gaijin Goomba started his shit, there was a market for his content and few people providing it but not too long after he started plenty of other people jumped on the same bandwagon(or technically had been for years already anyway since I think Daub was a reporter in the very early 2000s). And the people who started doing it around the same time he did were all actually in Japan, Japanese, went to Japan very often, etc. while Gaijin Goomba just stayed as a weeb in his little niche talking about things almost exclusively in the context of video games(and it got stale). Hell, even Sora the Troll started his channel in almost that same time period.

So if he's rarely ever in Japan, the closest to Japan he normally gets is anime conventions in North America, spends almost a decade talking about what is now fairly obvious shit in video games, of course his channel is going to die off but he doesn't understand that. A few years earlier and he likely would have been a Channel Awesome member right along side JewWario and armz.

edit: ffs, I forgot another one. Peter Barakan and the Japanology thing. Originally it was just aired on NHK, but about 9 years ago started posting episodes on youtube, so that's another content creator(kind of) having seen an obvious gap to be filled for content people wanted to watch.

That's honestly probably another pretty good reason his channel has fallen off. He could post content about ninja and bullshit from a historical sense, contrast it to the mysticism bullshit lore, maybe talk about how some of that lore came to be, and so on. No, he posts about jutsu bullshit that appeals to what... 12 year olds? Admittedly if he did do an actual deep dive on ninja and their lore, there wouldn't be 200 videos to make about that topic either which would again eventually leave him with an empty well and then actually having to do some research and interviews on other topics to actually come up with content.

He posted another one of his ork videos a couple of days ago. 25 minutes of "why anyone can love orks" without touching the game, reading a lore book, etc. and how orks fit into other IPs... yep he's doing the ninja and samurai bullshit from his main channel except even more specific with this crap.

Also had someone make some models for him of orks in japanese bullshit for proxies. This stiff kinda looks like shit.

Proceeds to go on about how orks have cars if you're a car guy. Orks have aircaft if you're into planes. If you're into 90's Hot Topic(the retail store), there's orks like that(I guess?). This is pathetic. Also mentions orks being "male coded non binary" for fucks sake 40k does not need this shit. They're orks, they're technically mushrooms in this setting, No one who actually has an interest in this shit gives a fuck about some orks gender identity.

For context the Emperor of Japan was on a state visit to the UK this week. While I doubt Goomba outwardly hates the man pictured above seeing what very well could have been, he will probably commit sodoku any day now.

Gaijin looks exactly how you would expect him to just from his voice. It's surprisingly a good indicator of how someone looks, there are always exceptions of course but 9 times out of 10 if someone sounds like an insufferable faggot, they probably look like one too.
I also love that his wife looks like she could be his sister. This guy really found his own clone just so neither of them would be virgins.
