I kind of fucking love this

it looks like a wonderful gay bar. it's so energetic and visually interesting. you kind of got what i meant.

I just can't think of what kind of icon represents favoritism or support.
A checkmark?

The ".it" could easily resemble one if written like the graphite "F" in this logo. Perhaps if you don't mind I could try something on my end and see what you think.

"wonderful gay bar". I´m not quite sure if I should feel flattered or insulted. :P

Curious what you have in mind. I found this logo from the Danish Football League. I really like what the designer did especially with the letter "k" here. I guess smth like that might work with the .it ending, but I haven´t really any idea how to incorporate it exactly. Needs a new approach, tho. Mine certainly wouldn´t work.

I just took the one logo @Null picked and did this to it. It's of course just the idea I had in mind. The bird could be bigger or smaller and the checkmark "it" could be thicker or thinner or spaced out a bit depending on preference.

If you're going to go that route, you might be able to remove the need for an icon at all. The FAV looks really nice with that font. Put the checkmark before it like a square root symbol.

I think I got it!

I kept @Trilby checkmark as .it but without the dot, removed the bird (aka I crudely painted over it now) and switched the F to a big one with the same font. Not sure if that is any better? Looks kinda lame now IMO.

Oh I didn't realize the check was supposed to be the IT.

I'm not too sure about stylizing the URL as halves. Hear me out: people being able to immediately identify the URL (favorr dot it) is important, and there's nothing really emphasized about the "it" part. It's not like "Lolcow News" where the lolcow and news are separate words and one has a different meaning. nawmean?

Yep. That was what I was going for.

OK, I see your point.

Sorry to be so picky, I just really really really want this to work. uguu ~

I know how that could be. Dealing with the expectations of a client is something anyone in the art/graphic world is expected to fulfill to the best of their abilities.

Third time's the charm here...

I love the colors and I love the font. I took a swing at just some kerning stuff in photoshop and this is what I came up with.

Also attached is the gridding I did to throw it together.

I'm not sure if a logo is even needed because the font is just so nice as it is. I'm wondering if instead some diagonal bars (/ / /) in the empty air between the F and lower text would look nice.

Yep, that come along quite well. Not sure about the spacing between the F and the rest, but maybe someone else can chime in with their thoughts.

(now I wish I was proficient in Adobe Illustrator)
