This depends on the purpose of the question.
"Should lack of a sex drive have commonsense nondiscrimination protections (e.g. no forcible genital exams)?" Yes.
"Should people with no sex drive march in gay prides?" No, gay prides shouldn't exist.
"Ok, but given that gay prides exist, should people with no sex drive march in them?" No, they have no common cause with pedophiles.
"Given that DEI exists, should lack of a sex drive be covered by it?" Go ahead and try; if you manage to get rid of public porn, you will have my thanks.
It's like "is atheism a religion"? Should you be able to run for President? Yes. Should you be able, once elected, to get sworn in on a copy of Attack on Titan Vol. 1, because "lololol it's all equally made up skydaddy bullshit"? No.
i. We need a new word for it.
Yes. As much as I hate "people-first language",
"people with no sex drive" would suit much better exactly because they don't have a positive unifying characteristic in common.
ii. It shouldn't be regarded as a psychological condition, except in cases where people are genuinely terrified of intimacy. Simply choosing to go without a partner for a period of time is something different entirely.
Yes.
The word 'asexual' should clearly refer to people who don't have a sex drive at all; a condition which I'm sure exists only in people with severe hormonal problems, mental diasabilities and the like.
...god fucking damn it.
Please don't advocate debanking for the unraped.
What rights do people who don't have sex not have? What legal recognition do you need for being a perma virgin?
Some gynaecologists / insurers won't provide adequate medical care to a female virgin.
There are jurisdictions which require a marriage to be "consummated" and outright say it's a sham if the parties had no intention to fuck.
There are jurisdictions that offer assisted reproduction to sick (thus their need for assisted reproduction) heterosexuals but not to otherwise healthy people with no sex drive.
I'm not saying people with no sex drive should
have these rights, but they do have a common interest in getting in on the grift.
Who the fuck are you in danger from?
Apparently from
@DDR Yoga, lol.
