We don't do taunts anymore in Current Year. They're emotes now.Can we RETVRN to taunts actually existing to mock people? Even stuff like the conga is dancing on your opponent's corpse.
And it comes across as desperateWe don't do taunts anymore in Current Year. They're emotes now.
It tried, but thanks to Valve's laziness TF2 avoided a full-on dive into that particular pile of shit. See the Balance Changes blog post, their "let's make it into Overwatch" revamp of Quickplay into Casual around OW's release, Meet Your Match & Blue Moon in general, etc. Every time they listen to compfags, a part of the game dies.I'm so glad TF2 never went the way of Overwatch where they constantly shot themselves in the foot in the pursuit of being "competitively balanced".
nvm a lot of bots tonightWell yeah, if you're European.
Haven't seen them in a long time on Frankfurt/Stockholm servers.
Highlander is actually fun to play, which means it's anathema to your average TF2 competitive player.Never cared for comp TF but I always thought that Highlander was the ‘correct’ version of it. If the game is based around these 9 classes why not have all 9 classes in play against eachother
No matter how you look at it, Meet Your Match has done irreparable damage to TF2. It's why I haven't gone playing it even today.I'm so glad TF2 never went the way of Overwatch where they constantly shot themselves in the foot in the pursuit of being "competitively balanced". It's frustrating to have entire character identities change in the span of months because some angry redditor in GM found out they were having fun playing a video game for the first time in their lives. Games like this really shouldn't be competitive. Also 6v6 sucks because fun subclasses like demoknight or combo pyro are absolutely useless.
I remember being there back in 2010 and I still miss the golden era when it wasn't all faggy shitTF2Chan is an interesting place. It was created in 2008 and mainly consisted of Fujos who were horny for the cast. The site was basically dead by 2013, and most of the users went to Tumblr. There are still some 2011 threads up of people reacting to meet the medic and Tf2 going f2p. NSFW warning but sometimes the screen will fill up with gifs of dicks.

Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to post anymore as the captcha barely works. I've been lurking in their discord and it's mostly just fujos posting the characters acting gay.
Oh yeah I joined because of the tf2 porn and to gawk at the fanfics because I'm deprived of content involving the characters. I also liked to keep up with neat fanart people made in the threads that wasn't posted anywhere else. Interesting place. Weird to see other people talking about it haha.TF2Chan is an interesting place. It was created in 2008 and mainly consisted of Fujos who were horny for the cast. This but unironicallyPyro has more mechanical depth than Scout. Change my mind.
To any Kiwis who have played Skial 24/7 Combat Surf, do you recognize Tango Mike Mike?Tango has a huge number of hours in Team Fortress 2. 25,359 hours on record. That's equivalent to 3170 days, for 8 hours a day, every day, without taking a single day off. Or, if averaged across 7 years, nine hours a day, without taking a day off. And while much of that nighttime was spent idle, Tango still spends a much of his waking hours on TF2, as he plays virtually no other video game. Additionally, he almost exclusively plays Skial 24/7 Combat Surf, and is even proud of his achievement of getting over 100,000 kills in a season of Skial Surf (which is not primarily a deathmatch gamemode).
More importantly, Tango doesn't even know how to surf, which is absurdly funny in itself, despite spending thousands of hours on surf gamemode.
