Best class(es) to play as?

Never cared for comp TF but I always thought that Highlander was the ‘correct’ version of it. If the game is based around these 9 classes why not have all 9 classes in play against eachother
 
I really enjoyed highlander comp, and use to play a lot after getting recruited out of PUG's. But COMP is for neck beards/trannies and power jannies with no life.
 
I'm so glad TF2 never went the way of Overwatch where they constantly shot themselves in the foot in the pursuit of being "competitively balanced". It's frustrating to have entire character identities change in the span of months because some angry redditor in GM found out they were having fun playing a video game for the first time in their lives. Games like this really shouldn't be competitive. Also 6v6 sucks because fun subclasses like demoknight or combo pyro are absolutely useless.

It tried, but thanks to Valve's laziness TF2 avoided a full-on dive into that particular pile of shit. See the Balance Changes blog post, their "let's make it into Overwatch" revamp of Quickplay into Casual around OW's release, Meet Your Match & Blue Moon in general, etc. Every time they listen to compfags, a part of the game dies.

TF2Chan is an interesting place. It was created in 2008 and mainly consisted of Fujos who were horny for the cast. The site was basically dead by 2013, and most of the users went to Tumblr. There are still some 2011 threads up of people reacting to meet the medic and Tf2 going f2p. NSFW warning but sometimes the screen will fill up with gifs of dicks.

Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to post anymore as the captcha barely works. I've been lurking in their discord and it's mostly just fujos posting the characters acting gay.

Highlander is actually fun to play, which means it's anathema to your average TF2 competitive player.

No matter how you look at it, Meet Your Match has done irreparable damage to TF2. It's why I haven't gone playing it even today.

Oh yeah I joined because of the tf2 porn and to gawk at the fanfics because I'm deprived of content involving the characters. I also liked to keep up with neat fanart people made in the threads that wasn't posted anywhere else. Interesting place. Weird to see other people talking about it haha.

I also don't know what people expected in terms of porn considering all the characters (except, arguably, Pyro) are dudes. No shit it's gonna be gay porn lol.

To any Kiwis who have played Skial 24/7 Combat Surf, do you recognize Tango Mike Mike?

Apparently, I looked into him and this guy plays it obsessively, and has thousands of hours on a surf server. I took a look into this guy, Tango is the self proclaimed KING of deathmatching on TF2 Combat Surf, and he doesn't even know how to surf. Terry Davis energy, with 1% of the talent and 100% more passion, and 1000% more annoying.
