That's what I was talking about. It's an actual higher difficulty than Ex. The games beyond that are just game over if discovered iirc.

I didn't even know that until I've watched speedrunners run SOL and Sub.

For instance, you fight all 25 Rays with that.

I followed some of the MGS2 runners for a little and they seemed normal enough, but if you ever looked beyond just a few there's so many vtubers and trannies in it too.

Look no further than MGS tagged on Twitter to see a bunch of LGBTBRAAAAAP plastered onto MGS pics. "MGS was always gay!" with no sense of irony.

Beat it a couple minutes ago and I can confirm the trophies are completely broken and I didn't get a single one for the completion. I got all the camos, and that didn't pop either. But I get the one for the Ocelot gun duel for some reason... but not the one for completing it on any difficulty. Stealth camo going to 100% doesn't make the trophy pop either so it's the whole list bugged. Like I completed it with the live Tsuchinoko and didn't get the achievement for it, but I did get the facepaint for not killing anyone.

I was concerned the online downloadable camos that were available on the Konami site that were brought into the HD col were gone, but no you just tab over from the camo selection after you beat it and they're all there like the first teaser trailer "Water Snake" camo, Santa, Grenade etc. They're actually pretty useful since they all share the same ratings and work the same everywhere except you won't get higher than 75% laying down.

Not sure what I want to do since none of the fucking achievements work. I might just move onto MGS2.

So the port is even lazier than the 7th gen one? Shameful, I think emulating might unironically be better at this point. Is there any new actual content that wasn't present in the original titles?

No, its pretty much the same as the ps3 versions in the case of MGS2 and 3 with some added problems, but it does run perfectly fine on machines that cant emulate the games, other than that you do get the integral version of MGS1, which wasnt in the ps3 and thentwo nes titles, which regardless of the quality of the games I dont believe have been rereleased before.
Also, I dont have the games on console so I can't confirm if the trophies are broken on those.

If you want to play MGS2 or 3, the original PS2 copies/emulator or HD edition seems to be a better bet. If you want to play MGS1, PS1 original or PC version seem to be the better bet. If you want to play the NES titles(for whatever reason), you can emulate these on literally anything, even your phone. I don't see the point, when MGS3 has both MSX titles which are superior anyways.
Now add the fact that the game performance is worse on the newer remaster, there are new glitches and even the trophies don't work right.
Sounds like a scam to me. Good to see that Konami wants to actually still make some money off of MGS but I am not impressed. Don't have high hopes for Delta, at this rate.

Where is the performance worse? Literally the games never dipped from 60 for me, while the ps3/360 versions have dips on mgs3 in many areas.

MGS2 and MGS3 run better than HD col. Especially MGS3 with zero frame rate dip. That's about the only reason to get it.
 
I forgot to mention, that during the fight with the Boss when the 5 minute mark hits and Snake Eater starts playing... the game bugged out for about 30 seconds with the game stuttering audio with the game frozen. It eventually righted itself but this 5 second segment of the theme just kept looping. This game is FUBAR. I never had a single issue with the original HD col.
