Do we really need a new reboot?

  • Yeah, I think it's about that time

  • No, the franchise is dead.

  • NO, A FOLLOWUP WHERE LARA PREACHES BOUT SLAY QUEEN DEFEATING EVIL ORANGE MAN

  • who cares, square enix killed another franchise

No remakes. They're incorporating Classic Lara's adventures into the reboot timeline but with all the problematic fun stuff scrubbed clean. B cups for everyone!
I'm pretty sure they're focusing on classic era taking the shitty reboot survivor era aback

"In the original anime produced by Legendary Pictures for Netflix, we’re seeing Lara’s evolution from the Survivor era to her look made famous by the original Tomb Raider."

Recently had a weird urge to just play the older games but I guess ill put it off for the remaster. I don't appreciate nu-slop but fuck making 1-3 work on my own. It's an odd franchise to enjoy.

The mid-to-late 2000s LAU trilogy is to start. Legend and Anniversary are return to forms. Try those before getting into the first three. The franchise is still as good as dead as it's more focused on the survivor trilogy and using its lore as a completely weird monster off of The Fly.

Triple posting

Our lovely folks who made Castlevania explain to us incoherently about a Frankenstein monster of a lore between reboot trilogy Lara to classic Lara.
Castlevania actively sucked after it's 2nd season & is admittedly made out of literal fanfics. Now they're gonna do it again, except also merging it with a game trilogy which also feels like a Tumblr fanfic.

This is all due to nepotism. Plus, Netflix already greenlit the new Tomb Raider a second season just a full year and a half before this show can even premiere, so I'm expecting production for a second season to be cancelled. The worst thing they'll probably do is abandon the iconic dual pistols and only use them as the same way Tommy Wiseau used the breast cancer plotline from The Room

>ugly face
>no dual pistols
>also takes place in reboot survivor trilogy

Why is it so hard for people to actually understand the original 90s and 2000s lore, but instead use the shitty fanfic trilogy from 2010s as canon? :sigh:

"They say that Lara Croft is an accomplished archeologist who owns her own manor as inherited by her family and- shit, it's Roger. She's gonna be Roger, right?"
