Yeah, it's like going on a great, wacky adventure. I'd say it's better than Z because it focuses more on adventure and less on power levels and stuff like that.
in fairness, Z really doesn’t focus on power levels that much. It’s just the fandom had an entire arc where the badguys were told it was bullshit and yet the fandom is so retarded they did not get the memo.

Symphogear is peak media, glad you're enjoying

Most people think S3/GX is the weakest season so if you enjoyed it then AXZ and XV should be treats.
Make sure to go back and watch the OVAs after each season, despite being little chibi comics they're 100% canon and have buildup to later seasons in. Keywords are useful too, lots of foreshadowing and techno jargon in there (the main villains of s5 are mentioned in S1's keywords, for instance). No movie yet, sadly.

As for the gayness, its pretty gay. Canon gay too, with one pairing

Noble Red was a blunder, that is all

On S5 now, I love this show. You mention keywords and foreshadowing, and its all coming to fruition. After S3 we started to pay attention to every stupid technobabble phrase.

I think the shows strongest aspect is the pacing. Theres zero filler, every episode moves the plot forward in some way, and nothing outstays its welcome. We just got to the part in S5 where Carol returns in the form of the pseudo AI, and then drops the best song in the series so far without moving a single step. I am actually pretty sad its over after this season, but its clearly tying up loose ends from all the way back in S1. Noble Red has been the weakest villain team so far, they just get their asses kicked every encounter.

Good to know but when I said originally I meant the entire original manga, so everything from kid Goku to the end of buu because correct me if I'm wrong there was no differentiation between Z and original DB like the anime like how Jojo or Baki started making each parts as there own thing or even a pause in publication when they switched parts like CSM did.

Noble Red is trash but at least when they get dunked on you can appreciate the main girls being cool.

I still think S1 and G are the best Symphogear seasons with the tightest writing, drama, character arcs and so on (7 billions swan songs will never be topped), but the later seasons have a lot of 10/10 parts too. Obviously the space shuttle suplex in GX that gets spammed to introduce newcomers to the series is one of them, but I think they outdid themselves with the coffin fight in XV and the episode 8 climax.

Overall I concur to say Symphogear is peak media, it's a flawed masterpiece that oozes PASSION and SOUL from everywhere. The entire "singing while fighting" gimmick originates from a misunderstanding between producers (the first guy meant "insert songs during fights" and the other understood "singing while fighting"), which validates the series main themes (misunderstandings and communication through other means like song) on a meta level. Really funny.

Also, Chris-chan is cool and somehow matches Kiwifarms theme

I'm actually kind of surprised that, at least as of the first episode, the Undead Unluck adaptation seems to have a decent animation budget. I was expecting since it is on the "gag" end of battle shonen with Rave Masters and Zach Bell it would have an animation budget of 25 USD and all the enemies would be replaced by the Bear from Golden Kamuy.

Pretty good manga too, currently seems to be in it's final arc.

This might be a mistake but genuine question, is there anything redeeming about the original Dragon Ball if you didn't grow up with it?
I think the only bit of DB I've read/watched was the manga up to the first budokai tournament on a pirate site before it got 404d years ago, a bit of kai the used to air on Saturday mornings, and some of the recent movies.
The original Dragon Ball is more comedy focused basically through the first tournament. After that it gets more serious, especially by the King Piccolo saga, where it basically becomes like Dragon Ball Z. And, of course, all of Dragon Ball Z is a 10/10 except maybe the last half of the Majin Buu saga as an 8.0/10.

All the original movies and especially TV specials were good, except Bio-Broly. The last two Z films are great as well, though Battle of Gods is too light on action and Resurrection of F is too heavy on it.

Dragon Ball Super is more all over the place in quality, I'd generally say the manga is better at any rate. The DBS Broly film is amazing at least.

Tldr; yes.

I will be watching, hopefully it reaches the current arc in season 2.
The manga starts off just being okay but then that THING happened and turned into one of my favorite ongoing manga.
I just love how it turned characters I didn't give a shit about to my favorites

Can't quote your other post, but you forgot to mention the fact that Kubo thought it would be a good idea to write a character that can make anything he imagines a reality (that's even, leaving out the detail that his design is a rehash of Yukio). What's even more baffling is that a giant axe just split him in half.
That was so retarded, that the only thing more retarded about that character was how he was ultimately defeated. But I figured the shear stupidity of that was self-evident.

Watched the first episode of Goblin Slayer, pretty good. I remember libtards raising a stink about it, but it was just an off-screen rape, and was depicted negatively. I guess the brutal murders were just fine though, of course.

goblin slayer is back. more goblin gore

I liked how they changed the recap from the Goblin POV instead of reusing the footage like the film did. Clever!

I like the original Dragon Ball. Z has too much filler and tends to get ridiculous. GT at least had him turn back into a kid, but I do no like those character designs with the sharp lines. Reminds me of the Dr. Slump remake that looks just as bad. And you're right, the movies and specials are entertaining. I was not expecting to hear Maximum the Hormone do a song about Frieza.

That's always funny to me. The show literally comes with a disclaimer "don't put little Timmy in front of this", and then they act shocked when goblins act like goblins, and Goblin Slayer is completely justified in wanting to wipe them out.

The first episode was good. I fully believe that little mage kid is going to get traumatized for life, but I don't want the priestess to get harmed.

I think of two things:
1. Modern DnD, especially after Critical Role, made evil races non canon, and they are all "misunderstood wacky races" instead. So it ruffles people's feathers to have oldschool style evil races.
2. Normies are incredibly non tolerant to sexual violence while incredibly blasé to horrific normal violence. You can have Rick and Morty cutting people to cubes, but people will react to Morty nearly being raped unless it is treated as a joke.

That may be a bit far off depending on how they're going to pace each arc. I could see it going more like this:
Season 1 either ends with Billy's betrayal (so season 2 covers all the Revolution quests), or with the battle with Autumn (for time purposes, due to the longer arcs afterwards).
Season 2 covers everything up to Ragnarok, ending with Fuuko looping and saving Akira.
And Season 3 could probably adapt everything up to the current arc. Anything more depends on how long the manga goes from here.

The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess is hilarious.

Basically, a weak NEET loli jokingly asked her obsessive doting father for the throne, and he went to the current empress and demanded it. That naturally pissed off the empress, so she granted the loli the rank of general and gave her an army that will rip her apart if she shows weakness.

I grew up reading books and stories about these creatures, like many, to act like a Goblin isn't a theiving raping monster is silly. They can be goofy at times, but at the end of the day, they want to eat you. That's how they've been written for hundreds of years.

Had a friend that was basically #2 to a T. Violence was awesome for him. Literally anything else that made him uncomfortable he couldn't handle. Like, bro, you actually get mad at Anime villains, want to kill them even if they have a redemption arc, but oh dear, heaven forbid if a monster is a monster.

Orcs and Goblins are linked in a lot of media and Orcs had rape undertones with half Orcs in DnD. Plus there is probably a fusion of Goblins with Japanese folklore monsters who were more rape happy, like the Kappa.

I thought Kappa stole your soul through your ass, not outright rape.

people casually tolerating murder and gore but being fazed by rape will never not be a sign of severe cognitive dissonance
