The subject being a lazy, degen/this/that/xr/xe, who is in over their head with a highly ambitious project they're being subsidized for is pretty much par for the course at this point. I also agree the side characters are what makes this just shy of a complete "whatever." Another thread I check in on just (sluggishly) crossed the hundo page mark, and for a long while the milk hasn't been flowing, rather a more like a place to talk about the subject.
I was going to go off on a "Which is what this place is supposed to be about: talking about stuff/people and documenting it all WITH THE AIM OF THEM NEVER KNOWING" sperg, but then I realized that I would be a 'dissecting sperg' that's just as autistic, so I'll spare you. As for what @YayLasagna was saying about the community of Kiwi Farms rotting, to be honest I haven't seen that much. Granted, I spend most of my time in Prospering Grounds and certain Cows I like to keep tabs on. Luckily whenever I see newfags a-logging or threatening to, they are promptly ridiculed.
I'm relatively new, but lurked a long while before joining. Even before knowing what the concept of alogging was, I understood that interacting with a subject in their natural habitat was unwise, as it corrupts what could happen naturally. (Slightly OT, but this is precisely why I hate those reptile feeding channels where the content creator throws a mouse in a terrarium with a snake, for example, and instead of waiting for the snake to strike and feed, makes some retarded noises, repositions the mouse, or otherwise messes with the scene. ALL OF YOU GOING BACK TO HIS VIDEOS TO POST ARE EXACTLY THAT!)

My intro into what furries were is season 4, episode 7 of Entourage. Everything has been accurate about that depiction, except the attractive person part. If part of your kink is to wear a mask (or in this case, a whole suit) it means you're unattractive and/or gross smelling. In any case, I can't unassociate the fandom with its sexually charged undercurrent.
It's that people who do it tend to have poor time management and work skills, which means the video gets delayed and they fall into the feedback loop of people asking for it and not wanting to work on it because it's become a Sisyphean rock.
The ironic part is that people like this tend to do it to escape the corporate wage slavery, only to create their own bespoke version of it.
