Notice my quotes there. All of this is what I would be saying, had they not cleaned up and made the page better by getting rid of all those shitty past examples, made via overexaggeration and sperging over kid's stuff. The page right now looks a lot better and cleaner than what I'm used to, so I'm sure something's amiss.

Frankly, aside from many a media page or pages like DMoS. They seem to be trying to balance out the autism with more informative stuff, albeit said in a more casual way than Wikipedia. To mixed results, mind you. But at least it's better than just "OH MAI GAWD GUYS! THIS CHANNEL SUCKS BECAUSE THEY REPLACED SOMETHING I LIKED BETTER!"

I don't see how the think it'll work on the more infected pages like FiM or TTG, though. Those seem to be beyond repair at this point.

that's the same way i feel about this.
all those entries for animax in the total abdonement page and they forgot of animax germany, the one that resisted (and still exists in the shape of vod service) for almost 9 years in europe. that channel had to be put in the notable adversions when it still was on air.

This one has everything: shipping, inside "fandom" jokes, tumblrina fandom/pronoun bs (calling the cats "they" instead of "it" just makes me think this page was made by one person alone), nightmare fuel...And all this sperging centered around a game of cats. No story, no personalities, nothing that could really catch anyone's attention to wonder so much.

I still can't get over the fact someone compared a cartoon cat walking across a darkened phone screen to a jump scare.

And the show zig zags between mocking the characters by showing unlikeable traits to trying to make the viewer emphatize with them while showing this traits as virtues but in a way it didn't always mash. Is not uncommon on sitcoms to do this but it was more noticible in King of the hill as being both political comedy and character comedy with drama inbetween in a way not even early Simpsons where.

Probably the wrong trope to use to make this point, thought, as is a fucking cartoon sitcom.
 
I simply cannot believe that Hemingway's work has about 2-3 pages in TVTropes but games about cats, My Little Pony and Doug Walker have like 30 pages.

TVTropes, where are your priorities.

According to most of their userbase, those are their priorities.
 
Don't know if anyone's ever brought this up, but have a look at "Subpages Cleanup Complete Monster" (linking the most recent page as of right now). Nearly 3,000 pages of these spergs arguing about villains and how evil they are.

Sometimes, legitimately interesting discussions take place here, but there's an equal or greater amount of cringy shit involving fanfiction. There seems to be a never-ending discussion regarding shitty My Little Pony fanfiction, and people occasionally give out way too much information (e.g. "I was molested as a child, so I'm voting in favor of this pedophile character counting as a complete monster").

Also, everyone who frequents it apparently has a mild form of ADHD, because it's a rather common occurrence for in-depth discussions to be totally dropped once someone brings up a different topic.

In autistic shit that interest them. Why bother giving Hemingway an in-depth analysis when some cartoon horses give much more, especially when said horses have various amounts of crappy fan-fic's behind them. Same can be said for anything else like Doug Walker and other cartoons like Spongebob.

And that shit right there is the reason why I never go into discussion pages. Those things are always filled with autism and hate.
