TVT is so borked that I can barely get it running with Noscript. I block a lot of things (mostly google-related, cookie related, ad company related), but the TVT list of scripts running is such a major, labyrinthine, clusterfuck, that I don't even get what's going on. Usually, news sites are the worst about it, and that's because they have like twenty-seven media players PLUS animated ads, which is dumb, but... They're doing more than displaying links, texts, and pictures, at least. How many shady trackers do you need on one website?

I use the Fair Adblock app, and I am amazed at how consistently that thing tells me I'm blocking 50+ ads.

From the Wonder Woman YMMV page.

Because only black people were slaves.

Also what's up with blacklivesmatter popping up everywhere? Today I read an article about Cinderella and somehow that also had to do with BLM. Dafuq?

Odd, I thought TV Tropes had a massive hateboner against adding political bullshit like this to their site.

If I recall correctly, they had ads on all four sides of the page, and a few redesigns ago they were mostly usually running one ad at a time, or at least that's what I remember. For a short time they even had Hostel 2 ads, and if my chronology's right, that's when they started to crack down on the insanity going on, first with the worst of the Troper Tales (usually the most powerlevel-y/sperg ones), then the "policy cut" pages, which were mostly hentai, including the infamous "Naughty Tentacles" trope.
