The great thing is that Charles plays an active role in making sure Jagoff keeps having strokes. Charles is a retard like Jack albeit not at the same level. He loves sperging about "vegan propaganda" and carbs being the devil. Unlike Charles though Jagoff has no ability to regulate portion sizes or actually limit his sugar intake. Jack will make repeated concessions to consume sugar-laden foods that he likes (Cake, Cinnamon roll) and still have act like a diet-conscious diabetic later on without even a hint of shame.

Yes too much sugar is bad but so is too much saturated fat. This isn't anything new and we've known this for a lot longer than vegans have really been a thing, But even then Charles is less of a sperg than his brother.

Honest to God, people who get deep into these fad diets drive me up the wall. The basic lifestyle guidance that benefits 95% of people (understanding that yes there are some people who need specific diets) hasn't really changed that much over the past 20 years and every study of mainstream "diets" I've seen say basically they're all the same. Find a way to get exercise, limit your intake of high calorie/fat/sugar food. We all know Jack will do precisely none of that and I'd guess his days of even pretending to do so are over.

Seething in hell but not complaining? Sure thing Jack. The fire alarm I kinda understand but 6am waking up is more in the standard <5min procedure category, where you just return to sleep immediately after it is done. For my very limited hospital stays, when they woke me up for something like checking fever or giving medicine, I was so tired I usually fell asleep pretty quickly after, and nothing to really complain about. And usually 6am is something when normal human beings wake up to get to work, but that's alien concept for Jack.

I mean, faced with the prospect of needing to wait on Jack hand and foot (and toilet) for the next 5 or 10 years would inspire me to try to move things along, myself. I would absolutely be bringing him cheeseburgers in the nursing home and telling myself he might as well enjoy his last few months on earth, when in reality I'd be just short of actively fucking with his meds to try to kill him faster. And I'm a MUCH better person than Tammy.

He's there (On the books at least) for the Physical Therapy services, and probably to buy time for the family to prep whatever changes need to happen at home - someone elaborated better than I could a few days back. They could in theory ferry him about, but if the home isn't suitable and the family isn't yet prepared to handle pissjug and asswipe duties, its better for him to just stay there. Even if they could give him PT appointments, good luck keeping them when you're not used to moving around a crippled ball of lard yourself, you'll end up hours late just from struggling to manhandle the wendigo.

Leaving for a movie is a very different problem than the rest. Doubly so since we don't know where his fucked up legs, sensation and control stop - he might not have effective bowel or bladder control at this point.
