I'm as pro-2A as they come, some might even consider me a full-blown gun nut. That being said I have to question whether folks "with limited function in their hands" should be handling firearms to begin with no matter how awesome the trigger is.
Lots of ways to accommodate people with disabilities.
Shit like this would vastly help someone with arthritis handle a Glock, I don't know if that (actual) arm brace for handicapped people is still around as a product or if it's gonna be axed by the AFT, but I do know a few accounts of people using stuff like that Brass Stacker slide ring.
Years back I recall an Anon on /k/ saying he bought one for an uncle who had given up on shooting and carrying his Glock because his arthritis made it too painful for him to manipulate the slide, so he had resigned himself to .22s and apparently a less than stellar Taurus revolver. His uncle loved the thing, because it made it really easy for him to manipulate the slide, so he could basically go back to shooting the Glock like he had before, a pistol which he really enjoyed.
I think there could be more room in the market for stuff like this. Combining something like that forearm brace with a slide ring, and then a light and laser combo, and we'd really be looking at some more Handicapable Firepower. With no NFA, one could add a forward grip, and if not a full length can, then at least some sort of short integrated device which reduces noise by a bit.
Getting into different handicaps, there's stuff like thumb triggers and various different special stocks and grips, but I've also seen people without arms load and fire conventional pistols.
People get old and arthritic, or maybe have a disease like Parkinsons. Misunderstanding physical ability to use a firearm is why Fudd Lore about giving grandma a snubnose 38 exists.
Yeah, or just smaller women who don't have much hand strength as is. Stuff like that is one of the reasons I look at that new Ruger .380, or the 'reinvented' Beretta 84, and I'm a bit disappointed that they're still blowback guns. If they were made as short-recoil pistols, that'd do a lot to make them easier to manipulate.
It gets better if you look at the ads in the first few issues and see the listings for the first printing of the Turner Diaries.
Hah. Terrible,
retarded book, but it's funny to think something like that could be given space anywhere remotely normal.
Here's the PDF archive of every issue of SoF:
Genuine treasure, thank you very much, I've only ever gotten to page through one or two tattered examples.
To be clear, I won't say the kids were innocent, they were tearing around in a stolen Furry's jeep very recklessly.
True, though I feel it's kinda fucked to execute someone who's down and not a threat, like some sort of pozzed Judge Dredd.
