I think Karl thrives on attention, even negative attention because it means people are talking about him. Take for instance the Ian comments, that drew more people to Karl's name than if he just took a breather. Maybe he thought it would bring more of the type of customers he's now after into his camp. Probably though, he just wanted people talking about him, rather than being "that guy who did a few videos with Ian".

At most they might rebrand Finnish Brutality to some other name, if the association with Karl becomes that unbearable. But even that's unlikely. They seem to be doing quite well for themselves lately, and in good terms with a fair few of the more historically-minded guntubers out there. For the eggplant-kicking dudebros, there's always Bunker Branding.

Quisling is actually a reasonably well known term, especially in WW2 history circles. It would honestly be surprising if he didn't knowit considering his large collection of German WW2 memorabillia. Regarding his surname, he could easily be related to the via his mother or a grandmother or something like that.

Man, i doubt people credit Karl with inventing "brutality" matches.
They won't even need to rename.
He won't be the first or the last to invent something and then lose it because he was a complete fuckup.

His fanbase is full of noguns, europoors, and edgy communists who just bought their very first vsak. I doubt they even know what "Soldier of Fortune" magazine is let alone have read it.

That's the biggest downside of working with Ian actually. Ian is great and his content is fantastic but his fanbase is one of the most braindead I've ever seen.

It gets better if you look at the ads in the first few issues and see the listings for the first printing of the Turner Diaries. SoF was great from 1975 to the late 80s. The issues from the early 80s covering the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan are fucking goldmines of pics of Soviet equipment. They had to issue warnings to people to not go to Afghanistan to fight the Soviets unless you're a muslim.
