Consoomers / Consoomer Culture - Because if it has a recogniseable brand on it, I’d buy it!

Not an original thought but these things are Beanie Babies 2.0.
Saw this article yesterday about these things have finally peaked. Thank god. What a waste of space.

Bugman collector meltdowns are going to be amazing.

Squishmallows will be right behind them.

I actually rather like Squishmallows and have a couple of my own, but the market and collectors are fast approaching Funko pop levels of batshittery.
At least those can be passed down to a little girl and she will enjoy them. I wouldn't be so cruel as to slight a poor kid by giving him a funko

Dubai ceased to be "le future richland paradise" after the 2008 subprime mortgage crisis put a dead-stop on all of their inflated property projects, but that hasn't stopped them from dragging on this puerile hollywoodian-like aspirational attempt at enticing people to drop by and spend money, like disneyworld at orlando but in the desert and with tanker trucks carrying your feces off the hotel (which lacks networked plumbing).
They are working on the plumbing atm though.

Dubai will exist as long as its oil reserves exist. As a tourist trap, though, this country is destinated to fail. Everything that is fun is a crime there. Naked women, alcohol, homosexuality (the demography with the most disposable income in the world, the perfect people to spend money on your country), and so on.

What's the point in a place like that?

It reminds me of Qatar, the host of the last World Cup. A gay journalist "died" there in mysterious circumstances. All the edgelords on 4chan loved the news, but what kind of sane people will decide to go on a muslin hellhole like that after this event? Those billionaires sheiks are delusional, their project to be the next hot shit will fail miserably once the oil dries out.

I still don't know why anyone would take preworkout specifically for playing video games.
Because they're extremely out of shape from not getting nearly enough sleep or activity during the day and staring at a screen for hours at a time destroys their eyes.

Found in a Reddit thread discussing Ant-Man 3's low box office
I seriously believe too many people nowadays perceive corporations as people. All that brand recognition, marketing, etc, etc, paid off to humanize what, at the end of the day, is mostly shareholders doing business to ensure an entity pumps out maximum profits. Disney is not some poor dude who made a bad descision and has its entire life on the line because of one box office failure, its a literal global media empire that has its hand in dozens of pies. Yet this sycophant is treating Disney like a homeless guy doing magic tricks on the street for change.

Alcohol is legal in Dubai for everyone who is over 21 and isn't a UAE citizen (I think citizens of other Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia are also banned but that's not enforced since Saudis in Dubai are absolutely notorious). And prostitution is absolutely everywhere and supposedly it isn't hard to find defacto gay bars. Dubai looks like they're doing a lot of investment in solar energy along with the rest of the UAE which if anyone can make it pay off, it's a bunch of billionaire oil sheikhs in a desert who don't give a fuck about the environment or human rights.

I can't imagine how sad it must be to be in a parasocial relationship with a corporation.

There is a whole giant topic we can get into here, and involves things like:
  • Supporting small businesses and small business owners
  • Voting with your dollar
  • A sense of helplessness in the political sphere differed to the consumer one in light of the above philosophy
  • Personal attachment to consumption (If a company you identify with goes down, it causes anguish)
  • Consumption and brands as replacement for church, religion, etc.
  • Parasocial relationships with non-human beings (Like @Save the Loli pointed out. Also extends to fictional beings, vtubers, and other constructed people.)
  • Individuals turning themselves into "brands" for professional success/profit

Having a nice desk/work place and room is great for mental health but this stuff is just tacky and awful. Having a good computer, keyboard and monitor is not really a crime just how you make it look that gets like this shit.
Those LED nanoleaf LED things are expensive as fuck for no other reason than these retards buy them.
Is this guy worth watching?
