I had not watched Valma but the reason why people are talking about it is due to how it basely disrespected almost everyone including the Mary Sue website with the #MeToo movement joke. Plus it has been criticized for being poorly written in the same matter if not more then High Guardian Spice.

Yep, Mat is still living rent free in his mind by getting mad at people who have an opinion over Velma, a show which, by the way, even a lot of leftists hate as well. Velma has writing and characters of a very formulaic, very bad modern day animated sitcom. This is something Mat seems to not get. Then again, he doesn't get anything, especially politics and science.

Plus it is hypocritical that he said people should not be obsessing with Valma yet he is doing the same thing with Trump and formally Sony Picture Animation.

You know I actually think he’s got a point. I haven’t seen a single person praise Velma. All it is is just Mindy Kaling taking an already existing character and using it as a self-insert. With that said everyone I’ve seen talking about and hating on the show hasn’t stopped talking about it and it’s getting kinda tiring. It’s been quite prevalent on Saberspark’s subreddit lately.

Velma literally embodies everything I hate about modern entertainment, it literally makes the soy wars sequel trilogy look as good as the original trilogy in comparison. Imagine defending such a travesty that even extreme hardcore leftists hate. He must have really bad taste.

Most of modern entertainment is a complete dumpster fire. Companies reviving, remaking and rebooting intellectual properties that were once dead when they should've stayed dead. Why try anything new when you could just reinvent the wheel a dozen more times?

Oh god, what has happened to you Thomas? How can you mix up something basic like this? The anatomy of the engine is all wrong, some ugly yellow shading, the whistle is not connected and the size of the wheels is inconsistent. Also, the lamp is the same colour when it is not.

Eh, it's all right. Not a huge fan of the background as it looks like he just took a screenshot of this and it clashes with the drawing. But other than that it is passable. The alternative one is somewhat on the same level.

Good Lord. It almost looks like he traced it. Where’s the shading and lineart on the tracks? Thomas just looks… rather wooden.

I’ve also realized that a bunch of AniMat’s drawings look… wooden and static. I’m not saying he’s got color theory wrong or anything. Compared to Chris-Chan, Mat’s got some positives going on there. But I mean: I’m comparing XJ9 in the show to Mat’s fanart of her, and she looks more… three-dimensional, in a sense.

Though as we’ve went over, it doesn’t seem like Mar understands the Line of Action, or stuff about the horizon line - especially from one point to three points.
