Really makes you think. Is this why he is cancelling it? It is a very clear way to track his lazyness.GDELB really highlights the fact that Mauler only releases two or three other videos each year.

TwitLonger — When you talk too much for Twitter
TwitLonger is the easy way to post more than 140 characters to Twitterwww.twitlonger.com
but the shape this often takes is multi-hour nitpick sessions
argue points which go on to stain the audience’s perception of what you’re saying over the following hours
A refusal to spend hours arguing against a room full of hostile people (and their thousands of fans) is considered proof that you’ve been ‘wrecked by EFAP’
Most YouTubers of the size they like to pick on work on such thin margins that they can’t afford 5+ hours to *watch* the EFAP
Watching and responding to my video does not present the logistical hurdle that a 5+ hour podcast does.
Southpaw and SK collect everything people say to them like they're receipts and edits everything in a way that makes them and theirs look like the good guys or the victims. Don't get in a call with these guys, they'll record everything you say and use it as "evidence" against you like the internet is one huge courtroom. SP even calls it "evidence" as if he's some private investigator and every friendly chat is an interrogation he needs to record.I didn't realize it was that long of a video, quit around half way but its basically everything we have already seen but framed in a "Southpaw dindunuffin, he was being gaslit and abused" way. Which kinda works because EFAP (including Wolf) can easily come out as complete assholes on a normal day.
It's funny how SP kept pestering everybody with arguments about how the show "is good actually" and doesn't realize how pathetic he sounds. The reasonable thing would have been to let it all go.
They also triple down on the "rape apology!" argument, trying to work on that SJW angle, which given recent events, might have a stronger sting than before.
Ah, that Pillar of Garbage guy also wrote a long post about EFAP on his Community tab.

My dudes keep piling enemies on, 2023 is shaping up to be interesting.
And... most people are liking the The Last of Us tv show, haven't heard anything from EFAP yet.
Glass onion was fine for what it was. I just don't get where people are coming from when talking about this movie.EFAP spent an hour on the first 4 mins criticising Pillars before he even said his argument. Glass Onion is okay, maybe even good. I enjoyed watching it in NYE. Much more than last year's Netflix film Don't Look Up. Man that was fucking dour.
Calling it out for what it is, people can no longer divorce the medium from its creators or directors. It's funny how the hate and anger that has come about as a result of how poorly received TLJ was has spiraled into people hate-watching Rian Johnson films to the extent that Rian Johnson is more popular than he really deserves to be. The "Glass Onion" title might as well be Rian Johnson giving the finger to his critics. He knows the game and he's going to play it. Best medicine is to either ignore him or shut up about him. Of course, nobody does because that's show biz for the social media click-bait anger-mongers.Glass onion was fine for what it was. I just don't get where people are coming from when talking about this movie.
People bashing it criticise the movie for not being a poorly conceived Agatha Christie-esque "Whodunit", having the movie introduce plot points out of no-where, non-sensical misleading interactions, and overall a weak scritp. And the people who liked the movie use the lampshade argument that the point is to be dumb and "poorly writen", because the villain is a pompous dumbass, so there is no clever plot because the rich idiot is just an idiot.
And I don't get both arguments. Look, these Knives out movies are not trying to be mystery flicks, they use the framing of one to tell another story, as far as a "detective story" goes, these movies are just a parody with no real intention with engaging the audience to work along to solve a case. The first movie, at least in the first half, tried to be one, but the mid point twist shows that the story was about something else. Glass Onion doesn't even try, there is no mystery, we know all along who the villain is. So I don't get why bash the movie for not being "Murder in the Nile".
Said that, the argument "It was supposed to be dumb!!! it is in the name (Glass onion)!!!!!" is stupid. I hate lampshading in fiction, when a story goes out of it's way to wink and nod at me to say it knows it's bad craft. It is the same as a fat guy telling fat jokes, and self-deprecation doesn't mean you are getting any less fat, or you movie is getting any less stupid. And that is the problem with Glass Onion, yes, i get that it is just a lampoon of a murder mystery, yes, i get that the whole plot feels stupid to reflect on how stupid the villain character is, but that doesn't change that what the movie is actually trying to accomplish is shallow and derivative.
And that is the main issue with Glass Onion (and knives Out also), it is "baby's first social commentary". Oh wow, rich people are self-absorved and dumb, never heard this one before!!! Making fun of out-of-touch wealthy people has to be one of the most tired topics of social critique possible, and if you have nothing else to add to that, then what is the point? Am I supposed to clap along when the movies makes fun of Elon Musk/Steve jobs as if I never heard that one before? Why? Because it is commentary, because it has "something to say", even if it was already said a dozen of times before just this year?
Ah whatever. Look, Glass Onion is Hollywood Liberal as fuck, so if you are tired of that bullshit, don't bother. But if you can stomach it, the movie itself isn't all that bad, the actors seem to be having fun, dialogue isn't all that great, but you do get some funny bits here and there, and if you liked the first one, Glass Onion will do fine with you.
Dunno what to say, pedestrian opinion for a pedestrian movie, that is all there is here really.
On top of that they're actively hostile at the thought of not talking about the popular thing to grift on the second it comes out (despite them having tons of things they haven't seen or the ongong review TFA, or GoT ect.) and make strawmans to try and justify it.Calling it out for what it is, people can no longer divorce the medium from its creators or directors. I think the people in charge of the promotional side of Disney have figured this out about the internet critique machine as well. Just get Moses Ingram to post a short video on how Star Wars fans are racist and the internet explodes and, suddenly, everyone is talking about the Obi-Wan Kenobi show. Ironically, EFAP and other podcasts that rely on leeching other people's content are doing more to promote said content rather than illustrate to people why said content is actually detrimental to the artistic medium in general.
There is an art to making humor out of intentionally stupid plotlines, but it still requires a form of logic. You're just trading one form of order (consistent plot) for another (creating maximum amusement). It isn't as simple as lampshading dumb choices and I'd be disappointed in Rian if that's what he went with, since I really enjoyed Knives Out.Said that, the argument "It was supposed to be dumb!!! it is in the name (Glass onion)!!!!!" is stupid. A movie about minority rich people being self-absorbed and dumb could be landmark cinema because it's practically unexplored territory. All we have now are movies that are so preciously sincere that they almost appear to mock that demo, but don't (Crazy Rich Asians). And that is the main issue with Glass Onion (and knives Out also), it is "baby's first social commentary". Oh wow, rich people are self-absorved and dumb, never heard this one before!!! This is true, but also - TLJ was Rian giving the finger to the Star Wars fanbase. What did they ever do to him? He took the keys to the biggest franchise in movie history* and turned it upside down just to show how clever he was. Not that it was destined for great places after TFA, but still. Seems like he just likes to troll.Calling it out for what it is, people can no longer divorce the medium from its creators or directors. It's ouroboros. The snake eating its own tail. It's not even about the art medium anymore, it's about one tribe on YouTube scoring points for them and theirs against another tribe. On top of that they're actively hostile at the thought of not talking about the popular thing to grift on the second it comes out (despite them having tons of things they haven't seen or the ongong review TFA, or GoT ect.) and make strawmans to try and justify it.
Eventually Mauler will be forced to choose between wokies and righties. The EFAP-adjacent persons that has made that the best have been are the Drinker because he makes fun of wokeshit but is not full on "black character = bad" and LittlePlatoon who has made arguments that he doesn't like criticizing wokeshit for being woke, but because wokeshit tends to be bad regardless. It's ouroboros. The snake eating its own tail. It's not even about the art medium anymore, it's about one tribe on YouTube scoring points for them and theirs against another tribe.

You'd almost suspect some of these cycles were deliberate. Like the most important thing to these guys is if some randy on YouTube has an inflated number of subs or views on their videos. The end result is more traffic for the people they shit on. What this does is fill YouTube with streams full of people just talking into the wind over things that other people have put time and effort into. The entire machine rewards laziness. Callum certainly doesn't ever need to publish another video ever again because a single 5-hour stream pays his rent and them some.
This is even how the "Fandom Menace" sustains itself. Disney doesn't need to change anything--it receives enough negative press from people who purportedly "hate" what they produce that all they need to do is cater to that by continually perpetuating even more woke bullshit.
The reality is, EFAP and podcasts like it can't really sustain themselves without leeching of something substantive. They're parasites. They're hypocrites. And if you challenge the system, you get ostracized which is exactly what happened with Peter (Southpaw). It's really hilarious to consider the fact that Peter and his goons spent the better part of a year gathering dirt on EFAP all because they gave a poor review of some police procedural show.
Now, my hope is that their lack of any scripted content will catch up to them, sooner or later. There will be a point where their "loyal" fans will jump ship and find something that gives a better buzz.
The people they surround themselves with eventually coerce them into making really stupid content or saying really stupid things. Like Adam's whole rant about Tim Pool he did about a month ago was extremely cringe. He is also constantly doing reaction videos while simultaneously making excuses as to why he hasn't finished his Lion King (2019) review. On top of that is his admitting he doesn't actually watch an entire movie before giving it a score. All of it just kinda paints the same picture as EFAP has--these people are no longer producing quality content and are instead incentivized to sit in a chair and yap for a couple of hours because they're being rewarded for their laziness.I don't think even his "loyal" fans will ever jump ship. It's similar to YMS's situation actually, they have surrounded themselves by yes men without identity. Although, Adam's case might be worse considering those yes people are all degenerate weirdos, Mauler's fans still need someone to tell them what to think. It only takes reading the comments on their EFAP podcasts and Reddit "defenses" to see that.
It's been reuploaded (albeit unlisted) by the same guy who made that 3 hour video dunking on Southpaw that I linked earlier in the thread:Also, the video featuring his "private" conversation with Wolf is also gone.
Can I get the tl;dw?It's been reuploaded (albeit unlisted) by the same guy who made that 3 hour video dunking on Southpaw that I linked earlier in the thread:
Wolf had a conversation with Southpaw about his antics on EFAP and elsewhere. Southpaw got really, really upset with Mauler and Fringy because they didn't appraise his favorite TV show (Terriers) correctly. He said some things publicly which Wolf says were akin to calling EFAP rape apologists. Wolf basically confronts him about what he has done and all Southpaw can do is talk about some details in the show that were misunderstood because EFAP doesn't know real world knowledge like he does. Can I get the tl;dw?
This story is actually so retarded. Fuck me here we go..What is the summary of what happened with this dude?
