@Jaimas has made mention of Baldur's Gate falling some SJW sort of trapping with it's Siege of Dragonspear having some transexual character shoehorned into it. Well, I can't say but I will leave this:
The game did get positive reviews at first if I recall correctly but lately it has been getting more negative reviews. So much so that someone is begging for positive reviews.

It's actually quite a bit worse than just simply having a trans character. This article has screenshots where your party members chastise you for being racist and massive textwalls are devoted to gender identity.

The tranny thing was what came off the top of my mind and that was mainly from the someone being salty at people not liking said character. The massive textwalls don't help in characterization unless you were writing a fan-fic tier character whose personality is less than three-dimensional.

Even in context Rapp's posts were insanely dumb, especially to such a publicly linked account used for business purposes that could have been seen by younger children for updates.
To be quite frank, 140 characters is oh so definitely not the place to have any sort of discussion of this nature. Rapp was already heading for the exit as is due to inappropriate tweets and musings on highly complicated subjects that have the square root of sod and all to do with shifting Mario Part 29 or Pokemon "What on the colour wheel have we not used yet?"
Now, I'm fully behind her shitcanning from Nintendo because those tweets of hers, even in context, are highly worrying for a PR rep of a firm who likes to maintain a family reputation similar to the House of Mouse.
She should have known, understood and read her contract just like every other corporate employee on the planet, most of whom these days have quite strict social media policies so the company isn't tarnished because some idiot goes about saying how much they want to have sex, or any other subject that might offend the millions of midwestern mothers who let their kids play "Nintendo" because it's safe.
But Rapp's attitude has been the same as every other spoilt brat that seems to fall into this crowd with alarming frequency. "The rules don't apply to me unless they're my rules."
I couldn't give a single flying monkies about Fire Emblems and whatever supposedly piss poor localization they did of it and indeed, I haven't seen many (if any) on here who are being at all hypocritical. Just because they hate the localization doesn't mean they can't also be disturbed by someone tweeting what appear to be messages in support of child pornography and younger sexual agency, if anything the fact you seem unable to discern this is quite disturbing.
As I said elsewhere, Rapp isn't a GG Scalp. The timing is being used by the Anti Gobergator crowd because they have to see literally everything as connected to everything else because they're the gaming world's equivalent of conspiracy nuts.
Rapp's job in PR was to take the shit flung at the company on the chin, that was literally the only fucking job she had to do and her response was to endlessly pick fights, tweet herself naked in the bath and wear lingerie (and post pictures of it) that was bought for her by fans. While on an account which had been officially tied to Nintento of America's.
Rapp honestly strikes me as someone who was too busy happy she was working for the company of her dreams (she has a lot of Nintendo stuff and the sexy Ness cosplay points to her liking Nintendo products) and she simply didn't read any contract and code of conduct. She just blithely signed the contracts without properly pouring over them and finding any potential pitfalls, like Nintendo's social media and second jobs policies.
She's then violated them numerous times, with Fire Emblems and her 'second job' likely being the last straw.
Her paper and highly controversial tweets were simply gravy.

I hate the localization of Fire Emblem Fates and I think that it is objectively terrible, however she had nothing to do with that. It was simply her second job that wasn't befitting of a Nintendo PR person that got her fired, and like you said, the paper and tweets were just gravy. This is another situation of SJWs going "I like/can relate to this person, so this person doesn't have to follow rules or face repercussions for breaking them".
