I mean they're not being like shitty and pretty respectful but I kind of get why Shatner(s twitter handler) gets pissed off

It's very funny, and I don't think the family is traumatized, but that's gotta be confusing as hell. "Grampa ... had a massive following online? For one video he made? What?"

For the internet, some of those are actually pretty touching.

I admit if I found out my grandfather was a meme at his death...

I'd actually be appreciative of all these random strangers sharing my grief and love even if it was just a tiny fraction.

When it comes to Dahmer pics I'd recommend My Friend Dahmer. You can even watch it for free:

It really is good, and it had so many things going against it too, what with it starring a Disney channel heartthrob and being somewhat sympathetic towards a serial killer. I think it works because unlike every other true crime show and movie it isn't complete murderporn and takes place almost entirely before the murders even happen, with the first murder's setup only being shown in the final seconds.

As knowledgeable as the RLM crew is about film, they have a big blind spot when it comes to older stuff. And thus we miss out on any jokes or comment on the fact that Creepshow 2 was Dorothy Lamour's final screen appearance. This is almost but not quite as sad / funny as Joan Crawford's final role being the lead in Trog.

It's interesting. There's a law enforcement manual I've read that goes in depth on homicide investigation and there's an entire chapter dealing with homosexual homicides:

Law enforcement in general have tended to be as 'hands off' as possible when it comes to dealing with/helping the gay community, so 2 police officers in fucking Wisconsin in the 80s/90s aren't going to want to have anything to do with it if they could help it.
Not sure if it's the same one, but when I was interning at a law office during one summer in law school there was a book on homicide investigation that I read which talked a lot about that as well, including pics of catamites' bodies in rigor mortis, still in position. I think it dated from the late 80s.

She will be missed.

Probably. I believe a lot of the crime scene photos were taken from the 70s up to the present. Dude was a NYC homicide cop and his book is basically "the" book on homicide investigation.

Vernon Geberth is his name.

Man, I hate Josh. His takes are so bad and he is so fat and gross.
I've been binging on older BotW, and man, it's fucking grating seeing Jack and Josh on them.

Josh isn't too bad, as he has decent insights, but Jack is basically Nostalgia Critic levels of commentary/criticism while acting wacky/zany or screaming.

That's it, unless there are multiple homicide handbooks out there with the "We Work for God" bit in the dedication. Might have been an older edition.

At least Josh isn't Culkin. Went back to one of their Halloween videos and had the great misfortune of that unfunny hack being in it.
