Agreed, every driver who could have added some excitement had their engines explodeWell this grend prix was boring as hell. If it wasn't for the ferrari blowing up nothing would have happened.

I think Danny is headed for Indycar. I don't see another team in F1 taking him on. He likes America, he likes Ovals, Mclaren has an Indycar team they could quietly shuffle him to. JPM infrwquently drives their third car so they already have a seat for him.I think Danny is just kinda checked out at this point. You could hear it with both McLaren teammates being passive-aggressive with each other at different times in the race. Sad to say it but I think he is probably gone after this season.
Imho the championship is gone. Leclerc will collect more and more penalties. He already is down to his lat engine after this disaster. This is exactly like 2005 when Kimi was often faster but had to take on the entire field due to technical issues on Saturday. Ferrari may have an issue with very hot temperatures as it was the hottest race today (plus the altitude of Azerbaijan adds more woes) Perhaps it is simply an issue of "not enough cooling" or "falsly claculated cooling". If so then this can be easily fixed. Maybe Ferrari will make a request to overhaul their engines in the name of reliability as this is possible until September this year.Absolutely horrific day for Ferrari, they've got to get those engine problems sorted out or that championship is gone. Zhou had a great day ruined by that engine too.

Also lol @ Hambone getting on the radio to whine about his back. You know if it was bad for him, George's lanky frame was getting absolutely destroyed in there and he wasn't complaining on the radio.
Azerbaijan is actually really good for altitude it being the lowest GP at 28 meters below sea level. It's the likes of Mexico and Brazil that are going to fuck them really hard for altitude.(plus the altitude of Azerbaijan adds more woes)
TBH I'm surprised it wasn't the other way round. Crofty's usually at the head of the queue where fellating Hambone is concerned. For fuck sake, Crofty starts talking about Max's record while they do the trophies and PDR instantly switches to talking about Hambone's record when he isn't on the podium.
As I said, their input when commenting on an incident oftentimes is so blatantly and obviously wrong that even I as a mere TV audience member know better.I enjoy Crofty and PDR going "oh he needs to find reverse, is the engine still running", like that was an obvious driver retiring the car move dipshits.
In Germany, we say FIAT stands for "Fehler in allen Teilen" -> Flaws in every part. Also "Für Italien ausreichende Technik" -> Technology adequate for Italy.Well FIAT own ferrari and that stands for fix it again tomorrow.
Remember when a year or so ago in Monaco, an engineer told Hamilton to watch out for something in the Nouvelle Chicane, and he snapped back that he didn't know where that is and that the engineer should tell him the number of the corner instead?Max discussing how the speed with will cool the tyres too much vs preserving them.
Hamilton constantly asking his engineer what the rules of the sport even are.
I missed that, was he whining about back pain due to the bouncing? If so, he should just tape a couple of cushions on his back.If hambone is getting injured that's a Mercedes problem not a rules problem. Tell Mercedes to sort it or risk a ban rather than coming up with some rule for all because most have sorted it.
I didn't hear anything over the radio but I think he was complaining pre race, and to be fair, it does look shitty. But tough shit, fix your carI missed that, was he whining about back pain due to the bouncing? If so, he should just tape a couple of cushions on his back.
With the kind of money he earns, being a bit uncomfortable while doing so is really a non-issue.I didn't hear anything over the radio but I think he was complaining pre race, and to be fair, it does look shitty. But tough shit, fix your car
Maybe Hambone would be more comfortable if he didn't have all that metal jiggling about whilst on the track. With the kind of money he earns, being a bit uncomfortable while doing so is really a non-issue.
I heard somewhere that while both the Merc and the Ferrari are rough riders, they do so differently. Ferrari bounces higher but less frequently while the Merc bounces lower but more frequently.I would not be surprised if that bouncing shook stuff loose over time.
Yes, he said it over the radio.I missed that, was he whining about back pain due to the bouncing? If so, he should just tape a couple of cushions on his back.
Yes, he said it over the radio.
The problem is because of the merc and others bouncing and drivers complaining the FIA is looking at a rules change to prevent it. Floated ideas inclue a minimum ride hight which will harm the constructors that got it right or going to linked suspension again which is what gave merc such a ridiculous advantage in 2014-2021. I wouldn't be surprised if the "fix" to the issues makes the mercs a lot more competitive all of a sudden.
If FIA adapts the rules and Merc becomes top-team again, I'll give up on the sport until every motherfucker in FIA has died of exploding testicle cancer.Yes, he said it over the radio.
