Hammerstone in AEW would be interesting given he and MJF had a faction in MLW.
Hammerstone is also not that bad of a talker which is something AEW needs more of.
Tbh I absolutely agree with Vince McMahon's Brass Ring thing regarding Cesaro, he was very talented but didn't have IT, and unless he radically changed everything about himself and actually took some serious risks to change his character and personality he was never going to be anywhere near a top guy. It seemed like he was too scared to make a radical gimmick change and spent the bulk of his career doing some variation of the "I am a very good wrestler who swings people". As a result he's been gone from the WWE for months and I haven't missed him in the slightest. I haven't even seen AEW fans hype him up either for some strange reason. His contract expired by the way so he could have shown up in AEW within a week if he so desired.
I think CSRO is more interested in getting his coffee business up and running right now.

Cesaro was one of those guys you could always count on to deliver a good match, but you aren’t wrong on his lack of personality - outside of that time he was in a Tag Team with Sheamus and that time he ran into the crowd to destroy a beach ball. I feel like, if the IC Title still meant half a shit about being The Workhorse Title (rather than being like the US Title where half the time it’s a forgettable prop), that would’ve been his ceiling and no one would’ve complained.
Can you tell me why Vince was involved with Austin Theory? I like the guy, don't get me wrong.
Apparently, there’s reports out there that Vince sees Austin Theory as the next John Cena. Personally, I don’t see it, but if it means Vince’ll focus on someone other than Roman for a few minutes, and actually build a future star, then we’ll see what happens

I like Austin Theory because he did what any regular person would when face to face with Brock Lesnar: kick him in the balls. :lit: Yeah, Lesnar still won, but it bought him a few minutes, and got me to pop. :story:

Remember that Tag title Unication match that was going to be at Backlash well it's now a 6-man tag with Drew and Roman being added in.

So is it fair to say that WWE has no idea what to do with main event scene.

ideally this would be a three-way tag match with drew and roman as a wacky tag team that wins the unified belts and then bickers. but does a "6 man tag" mean this is now a trios match with drew joining RKBro ? is it still a unification match? what a clusterfuck.

It honestly feels like they had the idea to unify the World Titles, but then they had no ideas in place for what to do after getting the visual of Roman with 2 Belts.

Add in Roman possibly working with a bad arm since Mania - idk if that was a work in the Mania Match, but I do notice he hasn’t really done ANYTHING physical on TV since Mania -, any likely plans have been waylaid. Guessing this is just their way of keeping Roman on the card, and at least somewhat protecting him - I expect his only will be to get the pinfall win.
God I'm so fucking tired of Samoans
I’m still half convinced that Vince finally wants to break Bruno’s Record before he retires (or, more likely, dies at the wheel), and has picked Reigns as who he wants to do it. It’s the only thing from Vince Sr’s time in charge that Vince hasn’t beaten, knowing how crazy Vince is that’s probably been eating at him for years…

My current favourite thing in wrestling is Disco Inferno getting brutally mocked for declaring the entirety of Joshi to be shit based on a 10 second clip he saw on twitter of a comedy spot in a recent Stardom match.

People are pointing out that his entire career was a comedy spot because he was a disco dancing wrestler in the 1990s.

Right up there with FDRs Pearl Harbor response and "Mr Gorbachev tear down this wall" IMO.

Well he was "Gifted Glenn Gilberti" and a heavy weight "contender" in early TNA 🤣

They're finally sacrificing Drew to the Moai statue head. It was good while it lasted.

And just wait until Uso #3 aka Solo Sikoa gets called up and grafted unto Roman's hip too.

It's no longer unification, probably because Orton pulled rank on the wonder twins. He's said more than once he's loving teaming with Riddle, and probably told Vince to his face he wasn't dropping the titles so they and Roman's heads can get any bigger.

John Cena also sees Austin Theory as being a better wrestler than him too.

Just a normal match right now.

this is legit one of the best promos for capturing the manic energy that makes wrasslin great
It never fails to make me laugh when I remember that all the math in that promo is technically correct, and the result does indeed spell disaster.

I just want to know how much cocaine that promo was fuelled by, and how many takes that took

I'm saying it's going to be Psycho Clown vs Penta in the finals, with Psycho losing the mask via Dr. Wagner shenanigans.
the fact that we've got Villano IV / Psycho Clown in the semis instead of the finals is a hell of a thing

so theoretical finals

Blue Demon Jr vs Villano IV
BDJ vs Psycho Clown
Pentagon jr vs V IV
Penta vs Psycho

Pentagon Jr vs Psycho Clown apuestas could really be the hypest shit since La Parka AAA vs LA Park for The La Parka Gimmick

that's the great punchline is that obviously the application of the equations are suspect but iirc basically all the numbers have a clear reason to arrive at them based in what Steiner's saying

My guess is that Roman's refusing to work with Cody due to him knowing Cody will dethrone him and that Roman will be cast down at long last to the midcard/undercard and is now politicking to get Drew McIntyre as an opponent, because he knows he can string DM along at worst and at best, Roman deciding DM will be the one to beat him purely to deny that right to Cody so that, if Seth can't cripple Cody for Roman, he can irrevocably undercut Cody's return by having Drew steal the big moment of being the guy who dethrones Roman.

One rumor I've heard float around is that Austin Theory was in the right place at the right time when Vince wanted one of the help to explain something newfangled to him (most likely selfies or something cell phone related; given how Austin's main roster gimmick has him being obsessed with his phone) and as such, now is Vince's go-to guy.

That said, it does make me fucking wish they wouldn't have fired Dexter Lumis and just bring him in as Austin Theory's bodyguard. Given that they've made Austin super fucking annoying and trolling everyone and their mother, they could have gotten some mileage out of Dexter as Austin's bodyguard having to bail him out and slowly do the inevitable storyline where Dexter turns on Austin when Austin goes too far and Dexter refuses to beat someone up who Theory cheap shotted.
