I agree with you, but Tony is Tony.

I meant on TV. Kane was Issac Yankem, Stone Cold was Ringmaster, Rock was Rocky Maivia, Cena was generic CAW, Bray Wyatt was Husky Harris, Drew was 3mb, etc.
So my point still stands, most wrestlers have crappy gimmicks before they get awesome ones. So your point that the “few” (read as “tens of thousands”) of us Archer fans should be “grateful” because he had a bad gimmick in the past is dumb AF.
Lance though isn't any of those characters types. He's a monster who was best used in TNA with a tagteam partner. By himself he's always just another guy on the roster as are monsters.

Cry harder about how Eddie Kingston has always been used better than Lance.

The problem with this is they all had something more to them, that actually made them stand out above the rest. Hoyt's best run was in Japan with Harry Smith as the K.E.S. Besides a unique haircut, what else does he bring to the table that you can build something on? He's a great foil to someone who's on their way to holding a title, but to put him in the same names as Austin, Rock, Windham and Cena when they are far more talented than Hoyt is a stretch, regardless of the conversation that lead it to that point. He's better than when he started, granted, but he's not showing anything that stands out as money.

Hoyt was at his best when he had someone with him. It's why he's held so many tag team titles. His last IWGP run lasted 24 days before he dropped it. Sure, he won it from Moxley on AEW, but he was just a warmer. Archer is just another "monster" which are dime a dozen. Where's his character? where's his ability to have a feud that lasts months or even years? How many matches do people remember of his? He's better than what he was before but there's still nothing memorable.

so tomorrow is the first Triplemania of the year, with the tournament of losing until you get to a mask vs mask match
Park is threatening that he'll just lay down until the finals so he can get somebody's mask
there's a mix of a bunch of clusterfucks and probably great stuff and the rest of the usual AAA spread

edit- to be more clear, Saturday night

Ryback? Rybased!

I don't understand people's (especially Reddit) obsession with casuals. By definition they only have a passing interest with no big attachment, and will leave as fast as they came. Don't scare them away, sure, but also don't run your show around people who only watch Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, and maybe a few episodes here and there.

Then again people care way too much about popularity.

Horribly disappointed that Dexter Lumis got fired. You'd think they'd bring him up to the main roster for the purpose of teaming with AJ Styles against Edge and Damien Priest (and to further cucking/humiliating Finn Balor, by having him jetisoned from said angle and shipped off to Smackdown to get the crap beaten out of him by Roman as Roman's personal jobber again). Or having him show up on Smackdown as part of LA Knight's Male Model stable or work as Sami Zayn's bodyguard against Drew McIntyre.

Pretty shocked they let the mini Brock Lesnar guy go.
I'm not, he made the same mistakes Bronson Sneed and Top Dolla made. Whenever new talent arrives and they start trying to push themselves on social media it pisses veterans off and really ruffles feathers of the decision makers. Tagging veterans on twitter for matches and tweeting about your gimmick changes before you even debut is a big no-no. An example was Bronson Sneed tagging Roman Reigns and the Usos telling them that they should put the IC title on him and let him in their faction. I am pretty certain that pissed off the Smackdown writers, Roman/The Usos, the road agents, and the IC champion at the time Apollo Crews. You can tell why a lot of people who were released just by looking at their social media interactions and posts alone. Looking at Harlands twitter feed and Bron Breakkers twitter feed you can see a vast difference of how they behave professionally.

You are right, but I don't really understand how that gels with Vince's mentality of wanting talent to make something for themselves and grasp the brass ring rather than sit passively and nod along to everything proposed to them.

I don't think Vince had people sperging on twitter in mind when he created the "brass ring" meme. There's also the fact that it's just ignorant to be on NXT, yet tagging main eventers being like "oh put me on your stable/group/whatever and btw also gimme a title LMAO". If you're going to do that, better just write MARK backwards on your forehead a la Al Snow and save yourself the second hand embarassment. There's a time and place for everything, and twitter is never it.

Twitter for up and coming wrasslers: hype the show, hype the match you have, hype the program you're in with another wrassler, or hype that you are a title holder if you have one. THAT'S IT.

Future title shots? NO.
Angles with main roster guys? NO.
Personal ideas on politics? FUCK NO.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=3awrFaC9q2gWhy hasnt AEW or WWE tried signing Fatu or Hammerstone yet?
Probably because they keep resigning with MLW despite the rumors of bad pay outs for shows.
I'm surprised too with WWE not trying to sign Jacob Fatu given their current boner for the Anoa'i family. When introduced in MLW, he was referred to as the "black sheep", which could be an intriguing storyline.
It would make for a better Reigns feud than what's going on now.
