If I remember right the $350 was just the child support. The alimony was something like $1500 per month for 3 years, plus his legal fees, plus a $90,000 lump sum that the court managed to seize from his accounts (what was left of the SA sale money) - dude was irrecoverably ruined.

Irrecoverably ruined because he deliberately blew through hundreds of thousands of dollars in two years and also spent the last two decades letting his golden goose rot while guaranteeing himself unemployable. With just a tiny bit of caution, he could have cared for his children and also lived comfortably. He's not a victim.

Of course. The point I was making was that he dug himself into a much deeper hole than the poster I quoted seemed aware of. He was fucked, and he had done it to himself. He still could have existed, but would have had to give up his wild lifestyle, and to him that was more important than his kids having a father. What an asshole.

What gets to me is that he still had parents he could continue to mooch off of. They could've paid his child support for him. They would've too considering how much they sheltered him.

Yet somehow he chose an even more pathetic and petty option.

Yeah the $350 per month was actually what he had been paying for his youngest daughter right after the breakup, which is a paltry amount. I didn't bother arguing with a previous retard poster that said he would never pay, trust me he was paying. For the youngest and the other two as well, for the entire time since his first divorce. He got ass blasted in court this time for intentionally squandering their savings and would have had to work out a payment plan, which would require being compliant at all anytime during this fiasco. That was not going to happen, so he did take literally the only way out of paying child support: becoming dead.

Child support will follow you and get garnished from any way the government can get its hands on it, forever and long past when the child turns 18 if you're still in arrears. If you manage to live cash only getting paid under the table, when that balance goes over $10k you find out the government knows where you are and will start threatening prison time.

With alimony it's probably not so strict but becoming an hero is definitely one way out of that as well.

Success would had led to a faster downfall for Lowtax.

Had he never have had The website, he would probably be the director of IT at some dental group affiliated with momtax making $180-$230k yr and would have mostly grown up but dabble on Rx meds on the side, his spine would not be dust because his family would rely on him to be a fucking man and do some basic man things like yard work, home improvement, and play with the kids in the yard or park.

Richard would be a spoiled little suburban asshole, but 4x the man he was when he an heroed, and actually with something as well.
