Should we convert to a grieving thread already or should we wait for the polls?

The thing about the Dems approval numbers nobody is willing to engage with is that at least SOME of it are angry Leftists who think Biden was too milquetoast and moderate. Those people will never vote Republican and will at best sick out the election. But an adjustment on Roe V Wade over the summer might get them to bend over and get fucked by the Dems again.

On the other hand, many people don't ever to want to admit they would vote Republican. Social desirability bias definitely runs in that direction.

Don't count your chickens too soon. Remember that Dems can "fortify" elections to "protect our democracy." Personally I don't think they will for midterms, because Republicans are blowhards who won't do shit even if they win Congress, but you never know.

Everyone keeps saying that abortion is a golden goose but if Baris is right that isn't the case. Plus if it gets thrown back to states there will be a massive swell in pro-life people voting in people who will implement state laws. I used to be very pro-choice but this last decade of 'shout your abortion' and women gleefully posting how many babies they killed has flipped me. Got to imagine that has happened to many others.

"my body my choice" has been thrown out the window with the mandates and forced vaccinations. Lots of real issues to be solved and not being able to kill babies isn't on the list.
Abortion is exactly like marijuana legalization. The most ardent activists will only care so long as it's legal in their blue enclaves, once that's accomplished (which would happen almost immediately in the event Roe vs. Wade were overturned) all of the support for the national campaign will evaporate.
At most it'll become a side show human interest story about poor black people being oppressed by red state retards, also like marijuana legalization.

I wonder if making abortion a state matter would push Dem voters out of red states and into blue states.

Again, like marijuana legalization, the most single-issue people would probably emigrate and the rest would just put up with it and maybe grumble a little about it whenever they have to visit a blue state for their fix.

It all depends on the primaries and if the RINOs can't keep the populists out. If they can't we'll see fuckery and the RINOs will cover for it. If they are kept out they dems will sit out for the most part to stem the bleeding of funds. The issue the republicans have is the right becoming more vocal means they can't play the "we have all the power yet can't do anything" without massive public pushback.

I literally will vote for an abortion ban in hopes it drives out the bugmen.

I have a bunch of horny chickens and the knowledge to build a catapult. Soon they will be the ones counting what's flying in the sky.

Quote of the Era

"Our mission in 2022 and 2024 is to take on this radical and power hungry ruling class and to deliver them an electoral defeat so resounding that they are exiled into political oblivion never ever to return again."

~ President Donald John Trump at CPAC, February 26

Here's how this will play out. Dems feign that they'll lighten up on the restrictions. But once they're in, bang! Full tyrant!

Even if they lost the election, suddenly they'll find "missing ballots" and win anyway.

Can we just get rid of Rino's and any grifters?

Nah, it's all gonna be about Russia the rest of the year, no matter what happens with the war. Can't let voters be reminded about the past two years, and gotta get them scared about the big bad Hitler man in Russia who's Trump's friend and supports the Republican Party (except good Republicans like Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney that is).

The problem is they haven't fixed the economy and it's only going to get worse. Ditching covid actually helps Trump because his vaccine pushing was his greatest weakness. Anyone who buys into this russia delusion full sail was never going to vote Trump anyways.

To be blunt that’s why I’m voting for a hard abortion ban. I didn’t support a complete ban but if it’s what drives them out then so be it.

Yeah Dems basically realize that with the media support they have they can simply convince a few RINO types to switch sides and say MTG, and Rand Paul are national security threats and all quicky make up an excuse to get rid of them. So many normies will eat it up as well the GOP was trying to betray America and etc...

But realistically at that point right leaning people can simply say go for broke and start building bombs and actually overthrow the government but assuming that's going to be nice is probably out of the question. These Twitterati are irrational fools who need to be disarmed from power for good.

Yeah, but now they can blame it on some dude who just invaded a sovereign nation in his own wannabe Iraq War moment. And it's working since I keep seeing buildings lit up in the Ukrainian flag colors.

I think even if you're pro-choice like I am, there's so many more important issues you'd have to insane to vote blue.

Well that is where the fun begins, but open terrorism would be one more failed election later. Hopefully. Personally in the worst case scenario, I don't want terrorism, but open revolution, with governors in the South and Midwest making a new confederacy to restore the United States as it should be.

It may have worked if inflation hasn't been in overdrive for months. They also tried to downplay all concerns and claimed to have the best economy ever. Biden and Harris fail the likeability test and this is yet another reason why they fucked up banning Trump from social media. Without Trump sperging out about every little thing people have no comparison.

In some ways they may have done Trump a favor by banning his Twitter.
