They have to continue doubling-down?View attachment 2943478
This table right here is why there is no hope for the Biden Admin. In politics, you get two impressions. Your first impression and your informed impression. Your first impression is what you get elected on, your informed impression is what the voters think of you after you get in and are in for a while. And these almost always go in one way and then stay there short of an extreme extenuating circumstance like "Everything the media said about them was a lie" (This is why Trump is a massive outlier for this). But Biden? No extenuating circumstances.
Everyone who now views him as too left-wing will -always- view him as such. There is absolutely no way to shift views on that as going to the center now only invites disdain at someone "changing their real views to get votes".
Doubling-down will only ever make it worse. They have no way out. They cannot go to the center because it will be seen as a disdainful attempt to pretend moderation and will only harden opposition. They cannot double down because that will send even more of the center away from them. Finally, they cannot stay as is because it's untenable as a position. They have to continue doubling-down?
Don't you know that meritocracy equals white supremacy? Or that it supports the patriarchy? Or something like that?Whatever happened just picking the best candidate?

Is there a chart for Blackness and Black Culture in the US?
You don't need a chart. Is there a chart for Blackness and Black Culture in the US?
Nigga, niggaz don't reed let alone no nigga-az charts. Sheeeeiiiiiiit. Is there a chart for Blackness and Black Culture in the US?
Black women are the definition of vote blue no matter who literally. What is it with black women being the go-to minority for liberals? Like not even black men or women in general, we need black women in seats of power STAT!
For you and @Jaimas , I really do find it incredibly gobsmacked over how liberals that support 2A rights, alienate the the much bigger 2A right wing crowd and still cling on to the meme that the 1990s American Taliban within the GOP will rise up. I do also find it cringe that some refer to their modern sporting rifles as muskets. For some of us disillusioned former lefties, we stay Independent instead of Republican because the saga of how we became so disillusioned also taught us that there's nothing preventing a pack of lunatics capturing the party and driving it in a direction you don't like. I am not a Republican and disagree with a lot of the existing party dogma, but they have their shit together on the national stage more right now, so I vote Republican.
Here's what finding out you might lose your majority in the Senate sounds like
Of course, I'm sure he'll be fine. But it's a funny reminder of how fragile this balance of power is. All it takes is some 80 year old dying in his sleep, either to kill the Democratic majority or give them a much greater advantage.Several senators didn’t know about Luján’s diagnosis until reporters asked about when he’d return. Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) responded: “Oh, my God,” when a reporter informed him of the news. Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), meanwhile, said he wasn’t sure most of the Democratic caucus knew.
“Jesus. He had a stroke? First I’ve heard of it,” said Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.).”Oh, my God. I’ll find out. I did not know that, wow. It makes me worried about him, he’s too young for that stuff.”
It helped spread fear of displeasing the far left on cable television to the whole world. When corporations, political operators, and media types are calculating how they should act over a potentially contentious issue, the first question they ask themselves is this: Which side's displeasure will hurt us the most? The Summer of George riots gave them a very potent answer. In the end, 2020 proved that the only things that move changes are force and the fear of force. It kinda was, though.
What did CHAZ and the summer of love actually accomplish?
Sure they got police departments in shithole cities defunded for maybe six months… but then the crime skyrocketed and the politicians started ctrl-z’ing real damn hard.
What’s that?Betteridge's Law
No. Not at all. The gerrymandering if anything is shaping up to hurt them. They tried to make too many seats competitive to give themselves a chance of taking seats, but as a result left themselves open.@Gehenna forgive me if you already talked about this but what do you about all the Dems gerrymandering as of late? Do you think it will be enough to retain the house?
Clearly, they need an outside context board reset.Doubling-down will only ever make it worse. They have no way out. They cannot go to the center because it will be seen as a disdainful attempt to pretend moderation and will only harden opposition. They cannot double down because that will send even more of the center away from them. Finally, they cannot stay as is because it's untenable as a position.
Regarding this Supreme Court justice Breyer retiring. I don't know the procedures very well (I just know that if the nominee is Right leaning, it's okay to invade the state Capitol building to protest it). So question - if for some reason Breyer doesn't retire until the mid-terms or a nomination cannot be passed until after them, AND if the Republicans do really well at the midterms, can they block Biden appointing his "I don't care so long as she's Black" candidate? Force him to compromise on someone else?
Only thing they have that they can do is off Biden and blame non-Covid illness for it.Clearly, they need an outside context board reset.
False flag, massive school shooting, war in the middle east, something like that.
Do they have the political capital to trigger any of that? Nooooooope. So for now, we get to see if they can find SOMETHING to cling onto and use at it before the axe falls in November.
Couldn't work. Biden could have a genuine honest to God heart attack on television and half the world would be convinced it was murder. They could never actually murder him without getting called outOnly thing they have that they can do is off Biden and blame non-Covid illness for it.
Biden is martyred but in a way that makes it very damn hard to prove he was murdered (false flag murdering him is too risky and might not even work).
When a headline poses a yes/no question, the answer is no. You make a question headline when you want to give the reader the initial impression that something could be the case, but wait until the end of the article that few people will bother reading to for the shoe to drop that no, that isn't the case. What’s that?
