The conventional lefties I live around want homeless people to be allowed to shit on the sidewalks downtown and have some kind of hallucinatory fantasy about the bad side of town not actually being bad, it's just that the cops are racist. So we need to make sure people there don't get arrested when they rob stores or bust people in the face and HEY WHY DID SOMEBODY STEAL THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER FROM MY SUV :( :( :( :( :(

Defund the Police!

The Police Don't Show Up! Fuck the Police!

If they were the sort of people that wanted to behave like the Left, they wouldn't be on the Right in the first place.

Not a universal rule, but the general case.
Plus it makes glowies easy to spot in an earnest protest. Just look for the faceless ones starting shit and kick em out.

Regarding this Supreme Court justice Breyer retiring. I don't know the procedures very well (I just know that if the nominee is Right leaning, it's okay to invade the state Capitol building to protest it). So question - if for some reason Breyer doesn't retire until the mid-terms or a nomination cannot be passed until after them, AND if the Republicans do really well at the midterms, can they block Biden appointing his "I don't care so long as she's Black" candidate? Force him to compromise on someone else?

useless atomized lolberts
This is a disease unique to libertarian types. When your entire ethos boils down to rejection of force (by extension: authority for people to tell you to do things you'd rather not, by extension: government), what you're left with is a country-sized cat-herding exercise. For an object demonstration, watch any Big-L Libertarian party convention, they are exceptional in both the actual and wordfiltered senses.

What do you call those angry parents in teachers conferences then especially in Virginia?
Given that the kid they were complaining about went on to rape several other girls at two other school as the teachers kept covering it up out of fear of being called transphobic?

I call them "correct."

It kinda was, though.

What did CHAZ and the summer of love actually accomplish?

Sure they got police departments in shithole cities defunded for maybe six months… but then the crime skyrocketed and the politicians started ctrl-z’ing real damn hard.
Trained a bunch of Antifa middle-manager types in how to organize riots and arrange shit like "hand this small pipe bomb to the autistic kid and have him throw it at the building."

Numbed the left to "direct action" (political violence) so that if it happens again their allies in the media will be primed to ignore it and the base will be predisposed to accept it.

Showed the Soros DAs that were providing cover to Antifa any holes or weaknesses in their protection so if they have to do it again they'll know how to take care of things.

Hopefully the right was paying attention too, and learning.

Yes, that's why they're gonna do whatever they can to make sure the vote happens before the midterms.

What is it with black women being the go-to minority for liberals? Like not even black men or women in general, we need black women in seats of power STAT!

Intersectionality.

It's kind of like buffs in a video game - black + woman stack together to be ultra oppressed.

I guess it's like a scrabble double points square. Two "minorities" for the price of one. Or maybe Clarence Thomas just scares Joe Biden.

Whatever happened just picking the best candidate?

They're still around, they just are politically homeless now, and that, as I've discussed, is by design.

The ones that don't just flat-out go with Repubs - and there's a lot that don't, it has everything to do with the fact that the old lefties from my generation grew up with Neocons and Moral Majority crowd being the public image of the right that was put forth back then - will mostly claim to be independents or dodge the subject entirely until they think they're in good company. The ones that lack any fucks to give and will still stick to their guns like me, mostly out of being too old and tired to keep up the act as much as anything else are goddamn rare though.
For some of us disillusioned former lefties, we stay Independent instead of Republican because the saga of how we became so disillusioned also taught us that there's nothing preventing a pack of lunatics capturing the party and driving it in a direction you don't like. I am not a Republican and disagree with a lot of the existing party dogma, but they have their shit together on the national stage more right now, so I vote Republican.

He's only 49 years old, probably stroked out because of the clot shot.
If he's a woman and got the Janssen vaccination in the last couple of weeks for some reason, it's possible. But he's on the high end of the age range for that adverse effect. Also he's probably not a woman. You can't be too sure these days, but statistically speaking he's probably not a woman.

If Republicans held the majority in the Senate, they could do what Senator Joe Biden threatened to do with Judge Janice Rogers Brown and just filibuster her nomination.

This table right here is why there is no hope for the Biden Admin. In politics, you get two impressions. Your first impression and your informed impression. Your first impression is what you get elected on, your informed impression is what the voters think of you after you get in and are in for a while. And these almost always go in one way and then stay there short of an extreme extenuating circumstance like "Everything the media said about them was a lie" (This is why Trump is a massive outlier for this). But Biden? No extenuating circumstances.

Everyone who now views him as too left-wing will -always- view him as such. There is absolutely no way to shift views on that as going to the center now only invites disdain at someone "changing their real views to get votes".
