Trucks ain't leaving. The idea is that some will rotate in and out all week long, then another massive rally on the weekend. Continue as needed until summer or until Trudeau commits suicide in his bunker like Hitler.

Snow just means warmer weather (-5 instead of -25) and ammo for snowball fights. Fun fact, you can use a sling to launch a snowball into a 7-8 floor window pretty accurately. Watch some youtube videos on how Balearic slingers do it, not too difficult.

I think the main thing to consider with respect to other people having confusing opinions is that each worldview is predicated on a collection of hundreds or thousands of presuppositions, developed through personal experiences, reading, and what have you. Bickering and arguing with people rarely, if ever leads to anything productive in terms of changing people's minds; it's more like an ego exercise or a pissing contest. Going all the way back to certain Socratic pedagogical ideas, you cannot simply present your worldview as fact and present certain arguments for why you think it is good. It took a long journey for you to get to whatever beliefs you presently have, and for someone to understand your position, you have to sort of speedrun them through that journey themselves.

This can be relatively simple for someone with whom you mostly agree, but you're quibbling some minor point. Using this analogy of a path, if you started out within the same ideological or cultural framework, and only started diverging recently, then you might think of it as a fork in the road, and walking them back to the fork and showing them what the path you chose is like instead. It gets a lot more difficult if you come from fundamentally different socio-political-economic-cultural-racial-etc backgrounds, because that point of convergence might be a long, long time ago, or there might be no point of convergence at all. Thus to explain your perspective to someone you'd have to give them some sort of years-long education to understand all the experiences, presuppositions, and assumptions that underlie your own worldview. In that sense, I think discourse with people who are too different is a waste of time, and indeed impossible. BUT very much worthwhile with people who are 'close enough' to bridge the gap.

I just put together why they brought those tractors along. They have snowblowers attached to the three-point hitch.

The plan was always for them to handle snow removal downtown.

Getting off topic a bit, we had the biggest airport in the world at the time in Gander. Before the widespread use of jet engines, it was required for Trans-Atlantic flights. The British didn't want it falling into the Americans hands, as it would have meant American control over Trans-Atlantic flight. The British government knew people in outport Newfoundland were dirt poor, so the Canadian government bribed them to join confederation as opposed to the US or being independent by offering the dirt poor people in outport Newfoundland a baby bonus. This is why the Liberals and PCs are the way they are today. The Liberal party lead by Joey Smallwood championed confederation, while the PCs grew out of the anti-confederates who either wanted a independence or joining the USA. Smallwood personally took credit for the baby bonus from the Canadian government and ruled the island like a banana republic within Canada for 23 years. Come election time he would get money from the federal government and start handing out fire trucks and paved roads to small towns.

Rural Newfoundland operated on a cashless truck system. The merchant would come to town, he'd give you supplies for the upcoming fishing season, you'd repay him in fish, but you'd never manage to quuuuite get out of debt. My grandfather actually helped build the US base in Argentia. That was the first time people of his generation had actual real money and american dollars were being used as a de facto currency on the island for most of the 1940s.

Even better. They can build snow barricades reinforced with wooden logs, then pour water on them to make them as hard as concrete, blocking off any attempts at removal at least until spring.

Leftists don't understand that people who actually work for a living can use their resourcefulness and skills for protesting as well. Not everyone is a useless urban parasite, lol.

There's a romanticism surrounding the idea of a Republic of Newfoundland, and the tricolor pink, white and green Republic of Newfoundland flag is an extremely popular symbol, but there is no serious general sentiment for leaving Canada. Still though, Newfoundlanders are extremely patriotic toward Newfoundland and not so much toward Canada. It's kind of like Quebec.

You don't even need to work for a living to do this. Anyone with even a modicum of experience building snow forts during their teenage years could figure this out. Now, if you're a friendless loser urbanite , that's a different story.

Yeah, those trucks aren't going anywhere unless the truckers want them moved. Expect them to be buried in if the snow flies.

I'm always amazed by the guys body language in that gif. He approaches the truck wheel all casual, with confidence in his stride, can't wait to fuck this guys truck up, then BOOM! He gets hit so hard that his fencing response is activated and it momentarily pushes him off the ground right at the end of the gif. Brutal!

They are but unlike Quebecers they're generally really nice people. They're basically the Canadian stereotype. Aside from their willingness to throw hands if you pronounce it as Newfinland or shit on the Boston Bruins.
 
Multiple streamers and truckers have confirmed fuel is being distributed from new fuel trucks. Havent found video of it yet.

All I think after all this is that the elite are desperately going to try and get self-driving semi tech accelerated so that Joe truck driver can't hold the entire countries supply chain by the balls again.
Good on Canadians for standing up for themselves finally, (Fuck quebec) hopefully this will put pressure on other nations as well and the success will spread.
