They seem to take no issue with having a gigantic carbon footprint as elites, at least for now. Low carbon emissions for thee but not for me. There was stuff like pic related making the rounds around the time of the COP26 summit in Glasgow. Either they completely don't give a fuck, or they come up with weird copes like carbon credit trading, or "sustainable jet fuel." Carbon emissions are practically a perfect correlate of GDP. High carbon footprint means wealth, while low carbon footprint is a euphemism for poverty. They're not going to give it all up just because of some silly millenarian Chicken Little fairy tale they like to tell the nigger cattle. They want you to be a groveling peasant in a mud hut, but they don't wish that for themselves.

Just to preempt more shills, all the live streams are showing the trucks are still there. Honking has not slowed down. Currently the truckers are excited for the snow because it'll force the snow plow trucks parked as roadblocks to move and more truckers can get into the city

Newfoundland is a funny place if you know history since they used to be just as independent as Canada or New Zealand but voted themselves out of independence because they were ran by corrupt idiots and then when the island wanted to decide its future the British forbade them from voting to join the US like a bunch of them wanted to. They would've been a nice state IMO, better Newfoundland than a shithole like Puerto Rico.

It's basically corrupt a wish. We wanted anti-consumerism, where all these megacorps stop shoving their shit in our face and Walmart stops smashing up main street, basically quality goods made (or at the very least sold) in our country at local stores by people we could trust. Instead we get the elites' version of anti-consumerism where we (not them of course) consume less and we get cheap and totally eco-friendly Amazon goods.

And yes, it is about feeling smug. If you had a billion dollars, what's a million more dollars compared to the power to rub your money in people's faces? This is a dirty secret the supposedly anti-corporate left won't admit thanks to the Marxist materialism they root themselves in. There are forces greater than wealth in this world that the elite loves.
