Great, great analogy.Weird analogy
it basically never happensHow unusual is it for lower ranks to openly push back on upper officials?
Border patrol should be sending the illegals they do have to DC instead of border towns. There is a certain type of leader, also known as "the typical chinless bastard who runs things," who thinks people will do their jobs out of a sense of duty and fidelity, and this liberates them to punish those people for successful execution. Behind every bankrupt corporation is an executive team that punished people for fixing problems and rewarded people for making those problems worse. Every failed government policy is driven by leadership that gives subsides or budgets to the people who make things worse, and might go as far as handing out jail sentences to people who make things better.
But behind them are masses of ordinary people who will throw a giant, screaming, tear-fueled tantrum if the company doesn't hire enough black women, or tells some moldy old bitch to her face that she needs to find somewhere else to work. Or people who will go into conniptions if they're told that no, your investment is not guaranteed to appreciate. Or people who will go to the ballot box in a rage when they see mean man in a uniform being mean on TV, and vote for whomever promises to stop putting poor, innocent, oppressed black people in jail, and let all the weeping, scared, peace-loving refugees in.
Basically, most people don't really want things to work well. Not really.
Well, they should really be sending them to Norfolk.Border patrol should be sending the illegals they do have to DC instead of border towns.
well Ron feel free to disprove or dispute it with a convincing argument. Or just keep seething. The trucker movement feels like a spark that is going to start a fire. From far left slacktavist lawyer Ron FilipkowskiView attachment 2932047

They're not jumping the chain of command here, they're talking about a policy issue. Their immediate supervisors aren't responsible for policy and can't do anything about it. In that case, if a senior leader shows up and elicits the peons' opinions, the peons can speak honestly without embarrassing their chain of command. And the Chief is going to nod his head, say, "I hear what you're saying and I'll bring it up the next time I talk to Chris," and nothing will change but maybe the agent feels a little better. The context would trump the chain-of-command, am I understanding this correctly?
I have to believe that there's some limit to how much people will punch themselves in the dick to own the Orange Man. For some people, there is no upper limit, but others have already passed that mark, and still more are passing it daily. Those DAs are getting reelected by double digits. Soros didn't just stealth in and subvert DA offices for his secret, unpopular agenda. He's what the Tea Party lacked on the right; a billionaire to bankroll candidates that will give the people what they want. People who vote blue regularly want homeless people to be able to crap on the sidewalk and whore themselves out at bus stops. They want blacks to be able to walk into a Walgreens, fill a basket, walk out, and knock out an elderly Asian lady's teeth. They want antifa to be able to show up on cue, knock heads together, and smash storefront windows. Soros is just giving the Democrats' mentally ill voting base what it wants. Clean streets and safe cities are popular among other Democrat donors, but those don't have the kind of popular mandate on the left that Soros's agenda does.

Has she considered it's Allah's blessing to keep her from a state that's less free than Afghanistan?

Pregnant journalist turns to Taliban as she is stranded in Afghanistan
Journalist Charlotte Bellis is stranded in Afghanistan and has turned to the Taliban for help as she remains unable to return to New Zealand because of PM Jacinda Ardern's draconian Covid curbs.www.dailymail.co.uk
---
She has submitted 59 documents to New Zealand officials in Afghanistan in an attempt to secure an emergency return home, but
her bid was turned down and led her to turn to the Taliban, one of the world's most oppressive regimes, for sympathy.
It's a particularly cruel twist of fate for the woman who was revered worldwide for her fearless questioning of the jihadist group's previous record on women's rights.

Ok I wasn’t expecting that

its working
Of course Saskatchewan leadership is the first to break. When truckers start stacking up at the borders, they can see them all the way over in the capital. Only thing a politician hates more than work is an eyesore on the horizon.
For a long, long time, conservatives have prided themselves on being pro-freedom for business. We would support businesses doing what they wanted to do. The left would pressure businesses to take actions in support of the left -- and we would support whatever businesses did. Including taking actions in support of the left, if the businesses believed that would be the best business decision.
Obviously, this position has been a complete catastrophe and must be renounced, denounced, and reversed 180 degrees. We can no longer be the party who supports businesses no matter what they do, including denigrating and discriminating against conservatives.
We tried to be good friends and protectors to businesses and impose no demands on businesses, while the left demanded they throw us under the bus. So businesses repaid our kindness by deciding the path of least resistance was to drive right the fuck over us.
We went from "Don't Tread on Me" to "Please Use Me As Your Doormat and Toilet Paper."
That ends now.
Frankly, we must begin imposing our own political loyalty tests on businesses. We didn't want to -- we still don't want to -- but when we didn't, when we Let Business Be Business, they eagerly imposed all the left's political loyalty tests on us.

I don't think anyone is going in the other direction.
