Depends on whether or not they like keeping their jobs. "Do this, but we'll punish you if you do," tends not to be a strong motivator among the rank and file. They recently punished BP agents for riding horses. Which they were given by the government and told to ride. Because apparently, guys riding on horseback remind people of olden tymie slavery days. And the illegal crossing the river was a black Haitian. And that reminds people even more of olden tymie slavery days.

So yeah, "ride this horse and pick up illegal migrants, but if at any time the color of the migrant and the way you are holding the reins makes liberals on Twitter upset, we will come down on you like a fucking ton of bricks, motherfucker," not really a consistent message.

In a well functioning organization, very unusual. Its a sign of serious problems with your workforce. In you law enforcement or military this kind of shit is a prelude to a very dangerous amount of disruption and potential issues. This is a massive red flag, and if I was back in Tay Ninh I'd predict the officer in question would wake up to a live frag grenade within the week.

It depends on why the leader is there and what kind of environment it is. If it's clearly a dog and pony show, no one will say anything. If the leader is there to take the organization's pulse and seems genuinely interested in how their people are doing, it can become an outright bitch session.

So she made these remarks at a press event yesterday. Now the way it was phrased, perhaps she was not implying Ukraine has to be defended.
But, we want everybody to be unified in protecting God's creation, this, this beautiful planet — that's in BBB. Being transformative in terms of health care, child care, home health care and the rest for women and dads in the workplace, those with family responsibilities. And, we wanted to do all of this in the most bipartisan way possible — the same time, we take an oath to protect and defend. And, we're working with the White House to show that we are ready for whatever the prospects are, as regard – in regard to Ukraine. So anyway, it's a very busy time. And this is a very important occasion for us.

San Francisco is a lost cause and anyone who replaces her, will be like the exact same. I already seen young Democrats adopt positions of the 2000s era Neocons.

Fascists and Russian actors are financing one simple convoy that rejects the chink virus lockdowns and mandates lol.

Russia is currently busy with Ukraine and decided to distract America by financing some convoy in the land of the leafs.

It's kinda like brown recluses. Weird analogy, I know, but bear with me. If you see a brown recluse spider scuttle across your kitchen floor, it could mean that one's wandered into your house and is trying to run away. What's incredibly more likely, however, is that there are so many brown recluses hiding in your house that they now feel as if it's safe to venture out into open spaces. Extremely minor pushback occurring in positions like this is an every day thing. How many times has your boss told you to do something that you don't want to do? It tends to get done, but you're still allowed to grumble about it. However, larger incidents of pushback, like turning your back on your commanding officer, is much, much rarer. If you're at the point where you turn their back on them and everybody around you doesn't watch to see what your commanding officer will do, but instead turns alongside you...

That commanding officer's house is probably more brown recluse than wood at that point. And going back to your point, it's almost certainly a generally shared sentiment if we're seeing incidents like that occur. Am I reading too much into that? Maybe. But incidents like that, by definition, really can't happen in isolation. I think something might be about to shift.

They do not take an oath to "PROTECT AND DEFEND" tm

They take an oath to PROTECT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION"

do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States
