There is a certain type of leader, also known as "the typical chinless bastard who runs things," who thinks people will do their jobs out of a sense of duty and fidelity, and this liberates them to punish those people for successful execution. Behind every bankrupt corporation is an executive team that punished people for fixing problems and rewarded people for making those problems worse. Every failed government policy is driven by leadership that gives subsides or budgets to the people who make things worse, and might go as far as handing out jail sentences to people who make things better.

But behind them are masses of ordinary people who will throw a giant, screaming, tear-fueled tantrum if the company doesn't hire enough black women, or tells some moldy old bitch to her face that she needs to find somewhere else to work. Or people who will go into conniptions if they're told that no, your investment is not guaranteed to appreciate. Or people who will go to the ballot box in a rage when they see mean man in a uniform being mean on TV, and vote for whomever promises to stop putting poor, innocent, oppressed black people in jail, and let all the weeping, scared, peace-loving refugees in.

Basically, most people don't really want things to work well. Not really.

Border patrol should be sending the illegals they do have to DC instead of border towns.

The context would trump the chain-of-command, am I understanding this correctly?
They're not jumping the chain of command here, they're talking about a policy issue. Their immediate supervisors aren't responsible for policy and can't do anything about it. In that case, if a senior leader shows up and elicits the peons' opinions, the peons can speak honestly without embarrassing their chain of command. And the Chief is going to nod his head, say, "I hear what you're saying and I'll bring it up the next time I talk to Chris," and nothing will change but maybe the agent feels a little better.

It would be totally different if they were complaining about their schedules, or disciplinary issues. That kind of thing absolutely goes through the chain of command.

Those DAs are getting reelected by double digits. Soros didn't just stealth in and subvert DA offices for his secret, unpopular agenda. He's what the Tea Party lacked on the right; a billionaire to bankroll candidates that will give the people what they want. People who vote blue regularly want homeless people to be able to crap on the sidewalk and whore themselves out at bus stops. They want blacks to be able to walk into a Walgreens, fill a basket, walk out, and knock out an elderly Asian lady's teeth. They want antifa to be able to show up on cue, knock heads together, and smash storefront windows. Soros is just giving the Democrats' mentally ill voting base what it wants. Clean streets and safe cities are popular among other Democrat donors, but those don't have the kind of popular mandate on the left that Soros's agenda does.
I have to believe that there's some limit to how much people will punch themselves in the dick to own the Orange Man. For some people, there is no upper limit, but others have already passed that mark, and still more are passing it daily.

I don't think anyone is going in the other direction.

She has submitted 59 documents to New Zealand officials in Afghanistan in an attempt to secure an emergency return home, but
her bid was turned down and led her to turn to the Taliban, one of the world's most oppressive regimes, for sympathy.

It's a particularly cruel twist of fate for the woman who was revered worldwide for her fearless questioning of the jihadist group's previous record on women's rights.

Has she considered it's Allah's blessing to keep her from a state that's less free than Afghanistan?

Democrats to devote resources to 7 more House lawmakers facing tough re-elections

(article)
The growing list of vulnerable Democrats underscores the uphill battle the party faces in the midterms.

WASHINGTON — House Democrats added seven names Thursday to their list of vulnerable incumbents in need of party resources heading into the challenging midterm elections.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, or DCCC, the campaign arm of House Democrats, increased the number of lawmakers it sees as prime GOP targets in November to 32.

The updated list comes as Democrats face an uphill battle to defend their majority in the House, where they cannot afford to lose more than four seats.

Almost twice as many Democrats as Republicans have said they are not seeking re-election this year. On top of that, a recent NBC News poll found that overwhelming majorities of Americans believe the country is headed in the wrong direction.

And then there is history to contend with: The president’s party typically loses seats in the administration’s first midterm election.

“The fight for the House is really a district-by-district strategy,” DCCC Executive Director Tim Persico said. “I understand what the precedent is, but I think ... these are kind of unprecedented times.”

Among the seven lawmakers added to the so-called Frontline list are moderates Josh Gottheimer of New Jersey, Dan Kildee of Michigan and Jennifer Wexton of Virginia. They and others on the list will get increased support from the party in their re-election campaigns.

With Wexton’s addition, all three of Virginia’s female representatives are now Frontliners.

Some lawmakers who had been on the list were removed, mainly because redistricting will pit them against fellow Democrats, including Rep. Haley Stevens Michigan, who will face off against Rep. Andy Levin, and Reps. Lucy McBath and Carolyn Bourdeaux, who will square off against each other in Georgia.

So far, 29 House Democrats have announced they that will not seek re-election in the fall. Jim Cooper of Tennessee is the latest, announcing Tuesday that he will not run again after having served in Congress for 16 terms.

The list of vulnerable Democrats is being updated as Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer prepares to retire. Asked about the impact of Breyer’s departure on the election, Persico said the focus on the courts could shine a spotlight on Republican policies and benefit Democrats at the polls.

“If the Supreme Court becomes more of a focus for people or Roe v. Wade is rolled back in some way, that will bring to focus, like, ‘Oh, [Republicans] were serious. They’ve been saying it for 50 years, but I can’t believe they actually meant it,’” he said.

Still, any confirmation battle over President Joe Biden’s nominee could be a double-edged sword: A progressive pick could just as easily energize conservatives in opposition.

While Democrats identified their own incumbents they see as vulnerable Thursday, they also named Republicans they are targeting, including Rep. Peter Meijer of Michigan, who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump, and Rep. Andy Harris of Maryland, a Trump loyalist.

Democrats also voiced some optimism, saying they have identified more than a dozen new congressional districts they consider to be “in play” because of redistricting, bringing the total to 38.

The chair of the DCCC, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney of New York, said Democrats plan to campaign on “a record of delivering for the American people by fighting to end this pandemic, rebooting our economy and putting millions of Americans to work rebuilding America.”

Biden’s performance between now and November will play a significant role in who controls the House next year, particularly as Republicans look to make the midterms a referendum on his presidency.
Here's the list of newly vulnerable House Dem incumbents:
  • (NJ-05) Josh Gottheimer, district voted Biden +13
  • (MI-05) Dan Kildee, district voted Biden +2
  • (VA-10) Jennifer Wexton, district voted Biden +19
  • (IL-11) Bill Foster, district voted Biden +16
  • (GA-02) Sanford Bishop, district voted Biden +11
  • (OH-09) Marcy Kaptur, unknown because the new boundaries of her district are still in flux
  • (AZ-09) Greg Stanton, district voted Biden +11

Haven't seen this posted anywhere but Bette Midler (the has-been actress with TDS) is for whatever reason having a slapfight with West Virginia's governor James Justice. I am assuming it has to deal with Joe Manchin.

West Virginia governor uses dog’s butt to rebut Bette Midler

Justice is apparently a rather shitposty fella.

He doesn't even believe what he's saying because he doesn't even know what he's saying.

A few pages back about the corporate cucks bending to SJW stuff, Ace of Spades had a good line about it with relation to the Canada Truck Convoy

For a long, long time, conservatives have prided themselves on being pro-freedom for business. We would support businesses doing what they wanted to do. The left would pressure businesses to take actions in support of the left -- and we would support whatever businesses did. Including taking actions in support of the left, if the businesses believed that would be the best business decision.

Obviously, this position has been a complete catastrophe and must be renounced, denounced, and reversed 180 degrees. We can no longer be the party who supports businesses no matter what they do, including denigrating and discriminating against conservatives.

We tried to be good friends and protectors to businesses and impose no demands on businesses, while the left demanded they throw us under the bus. So businesses repaid our kindness by deciding the path of least resistance was to drive right the fuck over us.

We went from "Don't Tread on Me" to "Please Use Me As Your Doormat and Toilet Paper."

That ends now.

Frankly, we must begin imposing our own political loyalty tests on businesses. We didn't want to -- we still don't want to -- but when we didn't, when we Let Business Be Business, they eagerly imposed all the left's political loyalty tests on us.

The bolded part is what I will tell everyone who tries to akshually lolbertarian this to me in real life.

Detroit and San Francisco are the yin and yang of black-run shithole and whitelib-run shithole, and what they both have in common is corrupt retards who make the cities into unlivable hellscapes were winning landslide elections long before the Orange Man did his Bad.
