The convoy came from Vancouver, so is this a way to keep supporters and reinforce moments from coming in? Given that the truckers said they won’t leave until Trudeau and company resolve, this is just doing their job for them.

The convoy was more of a 3-pronged pincer, of sorts; the western route departing from Vancouver, BC, the southern route departing from Windsor, ON, and the eastern route departing from Halifax, NS. Specifically, the closed bridge seems to be an attempt to keep the eastern convoy from converging with everyone else, or inconvenience them in doing so.

I'd fully expect gay ops/false flags from the cops. The media and government reaction already demonstrates that this isn't an "approved" cause like the jogger lotteries. They'll need to come up with an excuse to arrest the dissidents and no government is against setting up its own citizens to do that.

I think this being a union strike with grassroots truckers this can go one of several ways.

1. Incompetence reigns nothing really happens and the protests die down as universal incompetence on both sides keeps things from going anywhere.
(They both play it safe and it's a short detante where the protesters back down. Ie it's celebratory but we all go back to work. Points are made publicly but nothing really happens.)

2. Full retard acceleration mode and crackdown on the protests are violent.
So we have multiple scenarios from there.

A - Let's say the protesters act to a brick being thrown at a window and it spirals down from there. Which riot police treat that crowd with an iron fist.
B - perhaps the police are encouraged to create altercations so they can tear gas and or beat the masses.
C - someone gets killed and the police lose control.
D - all of the above. (This usually backfires band grows support but if you crackdown hard enough you can stop it.)
(Not unlikely)

3. the protesters are given a win but it doesn't effect the system. Perhaps sacking Trudeau to save the gravy train.
(Very plausible)

4. Nothing happens as it all fizzles out. Protesters (Likely)

5. Protesters win the sentiment shows the tide. They follow England's route and signal the end of lockdowns and mask mandates. Basically the protesters are given a day, democracy actually works and within a few years the system destroys the movement.

If number 2 goes down the most exceptional route. I think there is a chance that Canada becomes the first western country to have the civil conflict. This in turn could be the spillover conflict that brings the US to it's knees. For the past six years, they’ve been shitting on the Canadian working class while championing pet causes that barely affect more than 3% of the population. Let's take a worst case scenario from this. Let's say the government cracks down and it backfires badly and spectacularly.

For a PL, having grown up so interwoven into this industry, it's extremely surreal to watch this play out now. They can get other jobs, this is not life or death starvation. It's almost like you can tell these guys aren't part of a unionized trucking association because there's no... unionization. Some think they're going to over throw the government. Some think Trudeau will resign. Some think some thing about vaccines and mandates.

Like Occupy, it could be the beginning of _an_ uprising of the working class to begin to peel back the Canadian shield that is the media and the government and possibly begin to make real change.

But I read an article today that said the average Asian and east Indian makes more than anyone else in Canada. White Canadians held strong in the middle class. And Canada had made itself sort of a safe haven for rich immigrants and then provided massive hand outs to refugees that natural born citizens had to work for. So it's probably not surprising Jagmeet won't support an uprising of a working class.

Canada actually works fine for the wealthy. I've seen it first hand. You can pretty much pay to get out of any crime and even commit murder and still be out within a decade. If you have money, Canada is still a dream. It still maintains low crime rates and all the incentives for a rich foreigner from Punjab to immigrate for. You pass your wealth down to your kids with like little to no inheritance tax, sell the house you bought in the 80s for 100k for a million now and you'll never even understand there are others a block away struggling to make ends meet.
