That last Pal world scene in the arena alone just screams bootleg Pokemon. The one that looks like a literal fusion of Zororark and Reshiram, a Lucario in an Egyptian outfit, fluffy Coballion, A Milotoc/Suicune fusion, and the one that’s totally not Pikachu with Kotora mixed in.

I saw the silhouettes for the Hisuian starters new final evolutions. Is there any information on if the Sinnoh starters (Piplup, Chimchar, Turtwig) are getting anything like that? I want to see a variant or extinct/ancient form of Empoleon, but I'm assuming that's not happening?

Sort of reminds me of Pokemon Colosseum for some reason, which I loved. Definitely a vast improvement over Swish's soundtrack and Toby Fox's bullshit.
They just let Go Ichinose go all at it, I liked alot of his tracks in SUMO for this reason as well, guy knows his shit for compositions I'm just glad that its a major step up from Swish

It's the same scores, give or take a little bit, that SwSh got. The ratings don't mean anything. They would have rated it highly no matter what. I put a lot more stock into the leaks and what real players are saying than a bunch of review sites who don't want to make Daddy Nintendo upset by fairly rating a big blockbuster game as mediocre in the case of SwSh.

I can't believe anyone puts any stock into "professional" video game reviews these days. These reviewers are either getting something under the able or just rating a game high so they can keep getting review copies for their glorified blog. It's the same reason I don't trust a critic score on Metacritic or Rotten Tomatoes.

The game looks like a 6 or 6.5 before my playing it but after seeing gameplay.

I think the lack of settlements or towns is what affects it most, same as with many openworld games. It needs more hubs and places with kookier or unorthodox quest options, minigames, contests and maybe some pokemon kabuki theater shit to enjoy.
Yeah, I was genuinely expecting to have the entire region open for exploration instead of just teleporting to an specific biome like that last Fossil Fighters game did. At least Sword & Shield kind of delivered with the "open world" thing in the sense that you're actually walking through an scaled down valley.

As it is, it's mostly an hybrid of the safari minigame with the combat that we all know and love. However, everything seems to be streamlined to the point where it doesn't feel as exciting as it could be. And someone is might be glowing in the dark about something, but that's normal for the series, tbh.

The only good thing about Game Informer was their annual Darth Clark editorial with the ensuing hate mail.

The distortions add a fun wrinkle to pokemon evolutionary theory, of the "fucking your own grandmother" variety.

Guys, 1998 just called me and wanted me to deliver a message...

https://youtube.com/watch?v=4mpD0xXqRg8It is so disappointed.

... hang on... hang on guys, I need to put 1998 on hold. It looks like 1995 is calling!!

https://youtube.com/watch?v=Lb8HEeS1_pE1995 is also disappoinetd. And it seem- crap, my phone is blowing up today. 1993 is calling me!?!?
I don't know what you're seeing, but that secrets of evermore boss just looks like random bullshit that I can't make heads or tails of and phantom ganon was a traaaash fight. Speen with bow drawn is worse than "actually have to dodge because the boss is attacking faster than twice a minute". And that tennis match was outdone in nearly every other version in Zelda, including the real ganon in Ocarina.

What is it with antis saying one game or another looks better and somehow choosing the few examples that absolutely and unambiguously look worse?

As for palworld, it's worth noting that they've made a previous card-based game, it's become abandonware, and they're supposedly developing a suspiciously similar looking open-world survival game.

Tbh, it kinda reads to me like they were developing craftopia (their previous game), decided they wanted to put monsters in it, and decided a rebrand was the best option to do that.

Was there cope in thread for Masters? I think like two or three people in this thread has said anything positive about the game while everyone else either shit talked it or refused to acknowledge it.
The King of Cope appears. No matter which thread has something bad to say about Pokemon, this guy shows up.
