Consoomers / Consoomer Culture - Because if it has a recogniseable brand on it, I’d buy it!

At around 12:30 she breaks down crying from joy, as she "hasn't been there since 2020". :story:
I've become morbidly fascinated by this couple:

It seems like they almost never film themselves from the neck down because they're childless fat fucks who do nothing but consooom overpriced Disney food all the time.

EDIT: Of course.

For those of you unfamiliar, check out this trailer for the new Pokémon game. Does this look like a switch game to you?
https://youtube.com/watch?v=I4RynqpahT8To me, it looks extremely sparse. More like a 3DS game than a Switch game.

Compare that to this, which is also a Switch game

For additional context, you can actually visit and interact with everything in the above image. It's not just set dressing.
Oh no, another Mediocre Pokemon game, which is the exact same thing as every other pokemon game that has ever existed.

Their expressions make me think of the monkey noises from OneyNG's Monkey animation.

This isn't even obsession based consoomerism, this feels like pure gluttony. This like a dragon hoard. It almost feels like mental illness.
It freaks me out that none of them are opened. I could maybe see having 2 of a special edition console if you wanted to open and use one while keeping the other in the box as a collector’s item or mod one while leaving the other clean, but like he isn’t even opening some of them. And some of them aren’t even special editions! There’s literally no reason for this dude to have like 6 standard xbones, it’s not like they’re going to go up in value. Dude looks like he robbed a GameStop.

I was looking at his comments and he was talking about how he had 4 games. He kept 3 sealed and played one. He keeps a bunch of them sealed. He also collects Canadian coins as well.

What's interesting is that he's also into stocks. I feel like he's collecting video games as an investment but I'm not sure. Either way all I see is someone spending a bunch of money on too many objects so it feels like gluttony to me.

By some theological definitions, it IS gluttony. It's needlessly hoarding and consooming things you don't need.

Not only Gluttony but also could make an easy argument for Avarice, and the act of doing it for clout is pretty clearly Pride.

We might as well fill in the rest of them. Definitely Envy towards anyone who has a game he doesn't have. Sloth from laying around playing games all the time. Lust because you just know he's Cooming While Consooming whenever he buys a new game. And finally Wrath if anyone were to call him out on it.

People have gotten their first look at the transport that will ferry people between the Star Wars Hotel and the theme park. It is supposed to be a starcruiser.

Have fun paying thousands to sit in the back of a truck.

No, it's just a generic design and Donatella being a retard. I swear I saw a guy on Jewtube wearing a shirt from the collection the other day.
The original designs back in the days had much more going on.
This shirt is the exact same they had in the 90s, and vintage ones go for up to 30k usd. It's actually a lot cheaper than that, so it's going to crash the market a lil bit. Not that long ago since it was re-released, maybe a month.

Speaking of Versace shirts, I can never get over how they're supposed to be a luxury brand but most of them don't even line up the pattern along the seams. That's one of the first rules of sewing and a basic indicator of quality.

And these are the pristine examples they're posting on their website to sell their products. Their shirts range from €495 to €1295 and the quality control is this bad.

Is the quality control bad or are they just sure that enough people will buy it regardless that it will be worth the cost of manufacturing them?

I was under the impression that it was always going to be “just a truck”, but the plan was to have loading/unloading areas that would strategically hide the face that you’re walking into/out of a truck - like, the loading hallways on N airplane or something.

I agree with what you're saying, and for those prices they absolutely should be doing that. The labor to make those shirts is the exact same labor as it is to make the $15 dollar Walmart shirts. All clothes and shoes are sewn by hand. They have to be. We have yet to make robots capable of dealing with fabric, as fabric is slippery and needs to be feed through machines by hand. Every fabric is different too. Sewing clothes is actually a *very* highly skilled job, the women who do it are artists who deserve better across the board.

The factory conditions in a Versace shop may be better, but the actual process of sewing the clothes is not.

Also, even if the pattern was lined up properly I wouldn't give those shirts a second look. So tacky. They look like what a poor person thinks rich people wear to me.

People assume brands like Versace are making massive amounts of money per unit, but in reality they spend such massive amounts on advertising and influencers that like 50% of the retail price goes to recoup those costs. The money certainly doesn't seem to go towards the actual production of the times. Source: vague memories of a marketing class and talking out of my ass.

Why would it be a truck? I'd assume it would be a monorail or some other sort of "on rails" system like the monorails between parks or the rides Disney has had for decades. That is, I'd assume if I didn't already know how much Disney cheaps out on everything Star Wars, including the notoriously bad theme park. So in that case, yes, the truck fits perfectly alongside everything else bad about that theme park and hotel.

I’d assume it’s not a monorail because Disney has a very bad track record when it comes to monorail accidents. They probably figured this would be cheaper and less dangerous. Considering their history they may be right.
