Consoomers / Consoomer Culture - Because if it has a recogniseable brand on it, I’d buy it!

Oh yeah, this was posted 2 weeks ago. I like the ad and the black/gold theme, but too bad it is just a add on on an already horribly bad collection .

This one looks like something I swear I've seen in a thrift shop. Is it a "throwback" or something?

At around 12:30 she breaks down crying from joy, as she "hasn't been there since 2020". :story:
A whole year? How did she ever survive?

For that matter, how am I still alive? I last went to Disney Word in 1984! That's a whole century ago!!! I don't even remember it much!

*dies*

Makes me wonder how many other long running franchises have consoomers like that.
It's arguably part of the standard business model these days for large franchises like that. Just throw some shit together and let the consoomers lap it up, because even if they hate it, they'll keep coming back. Very common for video games, movies, etc.
Same, if a song doesn't grab me within a minute I drop it. Saved me so much clutter in my playlists, although I'm one of those dudes who listen to one song constantly until I exhaust it lol. Pink Floyd people don't like because their songs all put me to sleep.
Take some meds for your ADHD, some of my favorite albums ever I thought were just okay at first but 3-4 listens later I thought differently.

Lunar New Year is in one week!
Happy year of the Tigger!

What the hell is that T-Shirt?

How is that a tiger?

I know it's supposed to be stylized, but it looks like some rat/rabbit/xbox controller unholy fusion. Like I knew Disney was getting real lazy, but come on. Why didn't they put Rajah on a shirt?

Redditor spent around $3,500 on Xbox One controllers

He also damaged his anus when he shoved a pear up it. https://www.reddit.com/r/medical/comments/lc5xk7/help_anal_injury_cant_poop

Here's another one from that same guy.

Also I'm kinda disappointed to not see any updates from him with the "pear up the butt" story. The last he left it, he was on medicine and shooting poop sideways lmao.

Even if he says that, this particular bit got my attention

Even if the post is satire, that particular sentence is very much true, we have all seen it many times in this thread, a few pages back there was a post on reddit from a Pokefag who was saying that he hasn't enjoyed Pokemon since Gen IV, but still keeps buying both versions of every new generation to this day because "it's pokemon". Makes me wonder how many other long running franchises have consoomers like that.
What pisses me off about Pokémon especially is that if any other franchise has stagnated as much as Pokémon, it would be rightfully criticized and the developers would be held accountable for blantantly lying to people about the animation quality being responsible for the dex cut. But because it's Pokèmon, it gets a free pass for everything and the hivemind will take whatever garbage Game Freak flings at them.

I've also noticed this trend with the Pokémon designs themselves, as they've been noticably decreasing in quality.

No, it's just a generic design and Donatella being a retard. I swear I saw a guy on Jewtube wearing a shirt from the collection the other day.
The original designs back in the days had much more going on.
This shirt is the exact same they had in the 90s, and vintage ones go for up to 30k usd. It's actually a lot cheaper than that, so it's going to crash the market a lil bit. Not that long ago since it was re-released, maybe a month.

You know, at least this allows whoever purchases them to let their own creativity flow.
Implying that 99% of people who buy this will even take it out of the box.

The ONLY kind of person this appeals to is Funko retards, a normie who has like 5 Funko pops of characters they like on their desk at work isn’t gonna be interested in buying this shit. And for Funko retards, actually taking the figure out of the box is pretty much the biggest sin you can commit.

For those of you unfamiliar, check out this trailer for the new Pokémon game. Does this look like a switch game to you?
To me, it looks extremely sparse. More like a 3DS game than a Switch game.

Compare that to this, which is also a Switch game

Vinny Vinesauce is complaining about this too, and yea it looks like something belonging to the Wii. The Pokemon-fanatics are seething about it :story:
It's uncertain that he will even play it, which is kind of big. As that's his living.

Here's the multiple systems he owns

I'm a lot less bothered by the game system collection than a lot of other consumption, just because they should retain a lot of their resale value if they're kept unopened or at least unused and complete. The piles of crap games for modern systems they own, including duplicates, franchise sports titles, and shovelware, is a different matter.

I think it is actually worse than that, Pokemon does get it's fair share of criticism, like you mentioned, a lot of people complained at the Dex cut for weeks, but that's the thing, people complain, they bitch and moan to no end, and then they go buy the new game day 1, when it comes to game consoomers, pokefags are their own particular breed.

I've also noticed this trend with the Pokémon designs themselves, as they've been noticably decreasing in quality.

Kind of funny how in gen VIII they only showed the good looking pokemon in the trailers (stuff like galarian ponyta, alcremie or corvinight) but most of the new pokemon looked like they're from a generic monster catching mobile game. No wonder why GF and Nintendo got mad when the full galarian pokedex got leaked.

I used to like rhythm games, and might actually be impressed with a nice big collection of old rhythm game peripherals, but that collection's the equivalent of someone saying they have a gigantic movie collection, and then it turns out to be mostly comprised of those 50-movies-on-10-discs box sets from Walmart. The majority of those guitars are cheap third party ones that I never even gave a second glance to. There's nothing interesting about them culturally, mechanically, or visibly.
It's like when Power Gig (another game that tried to bridge the gap between five-button and real guitar) dropped cheap third-party guitar controllers into a volcano.

Here's another one from that same guy.

You had me at "pear up the butt". I clicked through to his profile and sure enough you didn't make it up.
