So is hisuian sneasel being extinct due to being out competed by their johto counterparts, or did they eventually become the johto counterpart.
Most likely the latter. You can only get the original Sneasel(and thus Weavile) in Space/Time Distortions that appear randomly on the map. Said distortions also have Alolan Vulpix, all three of the starters for the game(no need to trade to get all three) the Gen IV Fossils, Magnemite line, Porygon line, and Rotom. With the exception of Alolan Vulpix and the starters, most of the spawns exclusive to those distortions are there so that way all 107 Gen IV Pokemon are accounted for in the game.

These boss fights are not soulsbonre tier, what the fuck are these people smoking?

Guys, 1998 just called me and wanted me to deliver a message...

It is so disappointed.

... hang on... hang on guys, I need to put 1998 on hold. It looks like 1995 is calling!!

1995 is also disappoinetd. And it seem- crap, my phone is blowing up today. 1993 is calling me!?!?

I'm not sure if it's an preemptive measure over the leaks, but the soundtrack is surprisingly barren in the wilderness. I'm used to hearing an lot of music in just about every area of the game; but so far, all it is battle music and some forgettable tune that goes along with the initial village.

To be fair, if noble pokemon like Kleavor is any indication, there are other bosses that do more than Primal Dialga.

There's some more energetic tracks in the game I think

I asked what a mature pokemon game would look like in this thread. Mystery solved
https://youtube.com/watch?v=EY4lyOH1_0oI laughed so hard when the character picked up a sheep pokemon and let the guys shoot at it like a meatshield
They recently released a new trailer.
I'll give them this, the graphics and animations look a lot better now. I may check it out for the lulz when it releases.

Regarding Palworld, this developer has actually put out an early access game called Craftopia about a year or so ago. Craftopia is roughly speaking a Zelda BotW inspired crafting survival game with a similar art style was Palworld. In fact Palworld sort of looks like Craftopia just with an imo better idea. I know someone who played Craftopia months ago, and it isn't that bad (for EA access standards) just clearly not finished but it did get an update in mid December of 2021 so it isn't a dead project.

So this developer can produce something playable and decent at least.

I'm roughly an hour and an half in watching the game and the training wheels are still on, despite the person rushing through everything.

So far, it's nothing really special and nobody really noticed the giant vortex above the mountain. Overall, it's basically Snap but with the main game attached to it. But it might work if there's more stuff to it other than going on an safari, fighting the occasional trainer, and buying clothes. As it is now, the game makes it an grind to catch dozens of the critters just to get promoted...And that's basically it, outside of the mandatory fights.
This feels like an starter boss for an Zelda game.

I hate to sound like one of those “this ripped off Pokemon” fans but a lot of those monsters look like bootlegged versions of official Pokemon. Also the whole thing looks so cringe, the tone clashes with the cutesy graphics. One minute the gameplay looks like Rune Factory with cute monsters and farming then the next you get guns, slavery, and torture. The whole ”lets make this edgy mature thing but with cutesy characters and graphics” trope is over done.

I decided to search up Palworld on Twitter to see how people were reacting and it’s a mix of people saying “POKEMON WITH GUNS” and furries jacking off to rule 34 of the game.

I like this track! It's better than anything from Sword/Shield.
Sort of reminds me of Pokemon Colosseum for some reason, which I loved. Definitely a vast improvement over Swish's soundtrack and Toby Fox's bullshit.
Furfags, there's your answer. It would be very naive to assume gamefreak isn't aware of furfags the world over. Lucario is a good example of furfag bait, as it's got everything they love: animal head with mostly-human eyes on a young boy's body that just so happens to have feminine hips. Soccer rabbit I can't be bothered to remember the name of is a similar case, and there's countless others.
Don't forget that wrestling fire cat furfag from SunMoon who is probably the biggest furfag magnet invented since Tony the Tiger.

I think the lack of settlements or towns is what affects it most, same as with many openworld games. It needs more hubs and places with kookier or unorthodox quest options, minigames, contests and maybe some pokemon kabuki theater shit to enjoy.
