also if you have an AMD GPU you are fucked on emulation
Not true as of a few days ago for PLA specifically. If you're on the latest optional AMD drivers and use the latest Vulkan build of Ryujinx (you'll have to find this on the GitHub repo through the pull requests, would link it but don't want this thread to completely devolve into emulator discussion) the game is seemingly playable. Pre-loaded on Switch already but I have been messing around emulating it a bit just because I can. Don't see much point since I don't want to get invested in a save that won't matter once the game is out though.

/vp/ arguing more about if this fact being brought up again as dumb or not drowning out discussion of the game itself is the best part of this leak season
Nice PL reference.

This just makes me want Gen 4 Charizard and Gen 1 Zorua.
Maybe its the herperfag in me, but the black under-beck/chin contrasting with the face & dorsal neck looks really good on 'zard.

Stuff like this can happen with cross gen evos sometimes, like back in sinnoh itself there was a major distaste for pokemon like electivire, rhyperior or togakiss in "ruining old designs" while people like me still really love them (except Rhyperior, nothing can make him good lmao).
Honestly I loved Mismagius, Mamoswine and Yanmega.
But agree on Rhyperior. The only thing I like about Rhyperior is how easy it was for my Lapras to 1-shot it.

Yanmega I find to be very underrated, if only he had speed boost in this game, with how this game calculates move priorities he would be absolutely busted
Anyone still play the older Mystery Dungeon games, like Explorers of Sky? I like how they're in 16-bit game style.

(I also like the idea of the pocketmons freely doing stuff themselves instead of being told what to do by humans.)
I tried sky before, never was able to get into it, somehow lost my copy so I cant try it again on cart but booted it up on my CFW 3ds and found it surprisingly enjoyable
I really wanted to try this as it adds balance changes, fairy type and new pokemon like sylveon and alolan vulpix to it

I used this thing back during regular Sun (worst evo method too), and I have to agree. However, the point has to be made this thing looks abominable, despite the derpiness.
Crabrawler was one of those Pokemon I hadn't seen the evo of before release and I was solidly disappointed when I saw Crabominable. Such wasted potential for a cool boxing crab.

Zorua's feet aside, I think the reason a lot of newer pokemon (not all of them but many) are more rounded and simpler in shape like Meowth and Hitmontop for example (two of my least favorite designs) is due to that it made them easier to adapt for the 3DS and Switch while saving time, which can lead to too much simplicity. I think the newer mon from Legends suffer less from this than the last games, and its appreciated (although they went too far with Dialga and Palkia's new forms being too pointy and complicated, and that Enamorus or whatever its called just looks off to me). Also looking at that Garchomp edit, I prefer the compromise.

Makes it feel like a great white shark.

Is it wrong that I always wanted Yanmega to be either bug/dragon or bug/rock since it uses ancient power and the whole dragonfly thing (even if they're not called that in japan)?

Speaking of Garchomp, I'm a tad disappointed they didn't use any of the beta mons from gen 4 as basis for new forms/evolutions

Seeing them try to add these two would have been cool to compare along side the original versions
Plus it would have made Volo's team have abit more to stand out on than just Cynthia on crack if he also had a more aggressive togakiss and a different version of garchomp
also this should have been legend plate arceus and if you disagree you are objectively wrong

Yeah but having an immunity to ground is always good, maybe it could have worked as a Yanmega-mega evolution with levitate, would provide some strategy of whether you would want to keep speed boost in the case of switching out or just raw power.

Using beta sinnoh mon for Legends Arceus would've been the best time to use them, sadly it looks like Gamefreak just up and forgot them or didn't care enough to even save the original beta designs.

I think I saw some neat fanart showing beta arceus with a legend plate somewhere. Kind of bummed legend plate doesn't change the design at all. Closest thing is Arceus appearing as a golden orb of light for a bit.

Maybe there should just be an unspoken rule where all pokemon that can fly are automatically immune to ground type moves, regardless of type or ability.

Just found the first glitch that sucks in arceus and should be patched
Rip this mans heart

That would give gravity and smack down some actual utility and we can't have that

I just would like the ultimate form of arceus to be incomprehensible like giygas from earthbound, it would have been so cool but I think masuda has said before they "don't reuse scrapped designs" (which I doubt but thats another tangent). but at the end of the day if it's a game on the scale of arceus or arceus getting a new form, I would chose the former every time albeit reluctantly.

LOL IGN Italy got filtered by a pokemon game
>Turn actions is confusing and it's difficult to figure out when it will be your turn and when it will be the opponent's. Sometimes Agile style does nothing and the opponent just acts twice out of nowhere, making it impossible to strategize
>First of all, in the game world it is possible to be attacked by several Pokémon together up to a maximum of four: no problem, it comes to mind, at least two I can use them in turn, right? But no, regardless of the amount of Pokémon in our possession, even if there were six, we will be able to field only one . Imagine a system like that of the CTB, "corrupted" by the two techniques mentioned above, in a 4vs1 fight; of course, nothing prevents us from escaping when it comes to wild encounters, and escape has always been possible for me. However, it is not an ideal or acceptable solution to apply every time.
>If I defeat a trainer's Pokemon, the trainer can send a new Pokemon and attack immediately after, making my Pokemon faint (he's super malding about this)
>You can't properly read the fight and realize what you are doing, you are just kind of attacking until everything faints. Even levels are useless, a level 2 will randomply defeat a level 15, and an Alpha Pokemon will just tank attacks from a mon way stronger than him
>Sleep and Freeze have been removed, and this change sucks and I hate it (???)
>Not enough tutorials that explain how to train your Pokemon, it's simplier than EVs but not clear enough
>It's not easy to level up and the game becomes a grindfest
>Lord Pokemon are awful and the fights are just boring and ridiculous, gameplay is terrible, also too easy and souless

The guy who called out the fake Pokémon box bought by Logan Paul submitted a fake 1st edition card to PSA to get graded. I wonder if this will hurt the value of PSA graded cards…

I can’t archive it right now, but I can later if no one else has.

Edit
Correction, he discusses someone else that submitted a fake card.

Encoded and compressed abit large of a file size for my liking, but it works

Didn't expect Arceus to score decently, but it's a welcome surprise. Obviously the graphics could be better, but the general gameplay improvements continue to be exactly what I want out of the franchise.

It was 50/50 if this would do well or poorly imo, on one hand it really does push the series forward in alot of interesting ways but on the other even if it's not diet smt combat systems wise its still harder than your average pokemon game and you know how journalists react to anything above Imagine Babies' difficulty.
I hope the good critical reception along with strong sales can send the message that this sort of thing worked to TPCI and GF but thats :optimistic:

I asked what a mature pokemon game would look like in this thread. Mystery solved
I laughed so hard when the character picked up a sheep pokemon and let the guys shoot at it like a meatshield

This looked really weird with all the guns as they feel really out of place with the rest of the art style, then I saw the electric guy get thrown into a lake and all the dead fish just float on up. That makes the game a 10/10 by itself.

That alone doesn't explain why, even accounting for the different amount of Pokemon, the most popular polled result from 2021 is Greninja,

In fact, all of the Pokemon that beat all kanto pokemon in that popularity poll - Mimikyu, Lucario, and Greninja

Blaziken
Furfags, there's your answer. It would be very naive to assume gamefreak isn't aware of furfags the world over. Lucario is a good example of furfag bait, as it's got everything they love: animal head with mostly-human eyes on a young boy's body that just so happens to have feminine hips. Soccer rabbit I can't be bothered to remember the name of is a similar case, and there's countless others.

Machamp and Jynx are just as weird, but they're also very ugly so they aren't fapped to as much.
