I just find it really fucking funny and fucking depressing. Did Digi Even see the thing he took the character name and title from? A friend of mine occasionally sends me shitpost edits of the fucking character he yoinked both from and Judging by how he pronounces the name "beetrice" instead of the proper papa italiano pizza pasta meatball sounding "beautricci" from the source material I'm guessing he didn't. Every time my brain hears "trixie" my dumbass mind jumps to shit like speed racer not the funny menacing italian sounding named anime woman he's stolen the name of and attempting to seem like to some extent.

Mint is just a young internet artist with some formal training. Nothing to write home about, but perfectly fine for someone at her level. More importantly, she stays within her area of competence, making thumbnails and other little assets for her online friends; pretty admirable, all things considered. The problem with Riley and Digi is that they are trying to jury-rig a lifestyle which is way disproportional to their current skill level. If they had gotten jobs, built a garage studio, and practiced their craft until they were good enough to tour, then that would be dumb, but I could kind of respect it.

A year or two ago, I would have agreed with that description of Digi's rap, but since YGG they've dipped into "incomprehensibly bad" more than once. I've played a few seconds of that "out of time" one to people when explaining what happened to the channel and they were shocked someone in their late 20s thought that was passable as a professional recording. You are right that most of their music shows just enough skill to make you wonder how they don't know better. "Almost fixable" is a rough place to be.

On that note, I just tried to find the name of that song and it looks like they are changing their channels again. "Branches of YGG" just had the earlier YGG albums uploaded a few days ago. I don't even remember where they originally were at this point, but I'm guessing they deleted and re-uploaded to purge all the dislikes and negative comments. "Hiding in the Bathroom" has 4 likes, 2 dislikes, and no comments; so I guess they won.

They have also launched a new series called "Whatcha Reviewin" where they stand on the side of a residential road and talk about songs while cars drive behind them. Awesome.

Digi could actually get good if he took time to learn how to sing. In my opinion Digi's worst enemy when it comes to music is his own voice. It just kinda sucks. That's genetic and not his fault... I think, Don't know if he did anything to affect his voice. But if he really wanted to, He could just go on youtube and search some tutorials on basic music theory. He is already adicted to youtube, he might as well start watching something useful. Just some basic theory on how to create a melody+a little of harmony+learning how to stay in tune, would do wonders for him. But that would take effort, so maybe just go back to watching teenage girls doing makeup tips on tiktok.

True. He has a nasally nerd voice. I don't mind his voice when he's just talking and I can see why people liked his old videos. But for his rap you want a warmer, deeper voice.
That being said the Mickey Mouse troon voice is fucking awful.

Well-spotted; I tried using Social Blade to see if one could get the statistics for the video when it was originally uploaded (it was released April 10, 2021) to the Ygg Studio channel (rather than the current Branches of Ygg channel it has been uploaded to); no luck. Good thing @Prinz took a screenshot of how well the album was received a mere three hours after it was originally released back in April:

Turns out Ygg Studio cowardly deleted that last comment after all by deleting the video all together.

I've noticed that their infamous "House Nigga (Godemis Diss) - Twistello (with context)" (an entirely white rap "studio" reuploads someone else's rap track on their behalf with the racist expression "house nigga" in it; great idea, Billy, what a way to use Digi's channel, one that he spent a whole decade's worth of work on, just to promote some rapper you wanted to impress at Elko) video was also re-uploaded recently to the Branches of Ygg channel two months ago (I don't know when it was originally uploaded; I was referring to it back in April). I imagine that it too was an attempt to purge all the dislikes and negative comments, yet the same backlash it received soon returned; see also Billy's (i.e. not Digi's) thoughtful rebuttals to criticism:

Bad take of Ben's; Digi is an ardent supporter of the freedom of expression of ANY kind of media (most notoriously that certain aspect of anime he enjoys watching to the point he felt the need to announce it on the Dick Show), going as far as to put his name and reputation on the line for it. It's one of the few admirable traits Digi still has, even if it's a bit loli(no pun intended)bertarian and a muh freeze peach knee jerk reaction (try watching the media in particular, Digi, before you put your reputation on the line for it).

This whole Ygg car crash in slow motion could be justified in the future as one wacky road adventure that took place during the equally wacky time of the pandemic in 2021 when restrictions started to be relaxed due to vaccinations (which Digi and Bird happily avoid, but oh well). The Digi-née arc cannot be so easily explained away; he wanted to be a "big sis" for other "girls" on the internet, wanted his fiancée to become not only the man in the relationship (literally) but also adopt his entire internet persona and was later cucked by Ethan "Gunt" Ralph of all people.

Yes, getting grifted by a rapping wigger gnome like Billy is pretty cringeworthy and pathetic. Yes, Bird Stoic is a weird, unsettling fuck to choose as a partner. But one could tell one's future grandchildren (Digi won't, thanks to his transmedication effectively castrating him) that this was all one crazy trip and a warning of whom one should trust with one's time, money and reputation.

If losing $150 would leave you stranded and begging for help, then why the fuck would you cross a continent to attend a game convention? They've been e-begging to cover minor expenses for a while now and are making like $550/month off Patreon. Where is the money for these vacations even coming from? Did Digi's parents give him an allowance? or did he guilt Bird into taking out a credit card?

I don't care how supportive Digi's parents are; there's no way two late-middle-aged adults who worked their way into the middle class are going to put up with this forever. I have a feeling that if the present lull ever ends, it's going to be over some confrontation concerning money.

The Patreon money is mostly likely entirely spent on the costs of gas, weed, and diner burgers, the latter two being pretty pricey in the US. They clearly travel on a shoe string budget for other expenses (yes, including hotels and other places to stay), hence how a hotel booking falling through can leave them in the lurch.

Yes, she's talked about how she hates her toxic family and has cut them off, but her parents are all like "honey please come home" so I bet they give her money and help. Yeah I've been confused over that for a while. Even if its not much, 500~ plus an allowance is plenty to last yourself a month when you have literally no monthly payments to make, yet they still end up e-begging and cheaping out on shit. I remember in the big ygg concert digi was literally tweeting out for people to send money to him to "buy him a drink" lol. It has to be entirely going towards drugs and alcohol at this point, no way it can be anything else.
