The Donald Trump un-banning plus the scrubbing of most of the 60 Minutes links from last night definitely make it feel like the rolled back the platform to an earlier version.

I lost some of the messages with the dude I talk to once a month on there, which is really the only reason I still have facebook so yeah it definitely feels like they had to roll back hard. But also that's hilarious that Trump got unbanned, I bet they'll fix that before anything else lol.

DNS records trickle down through the servers, so it takes an hour or so for them to fixed. The fact that this is a multi-hour thing makes it even more suspicious just by itself. The fact that the website moderation data is stored separately from other data and not backed up at similar integrals makes it even worse. This is, with reasonable certainty, a very large scale Jannie broom.

Is anyone actually surprised by the shit stated in this video? Particularly the quotes about facebook being the best at regulating "hate" and "violence" and they still can't touch 1% of all of it on their platform? Or the fact the business chose to do what was in its own interest as opposed to the safety and well-being of the public?

Like it's good Facebook is getting shit on and all but we didn't learn anything, we just have it on official Facebook documents "yeah we're evil business #293 doing evil things." We have the real-world equivalent of a videogame audiolog where the corporate exec explains why burning the orphanage of children down with the children inside was more cost-effective than evacuating it.

I knew about Facebook dying but did not care to much, but the rollback part that i did not know, here there was a massive bitching and panic because everyone use whatsapp for absolute everything, even for phone calls because the signal is horrible
