FPS/First Person Brawler made by Chilean devs ACE team, set in a crazy imaginative world. I highly recommend playing the first two now that the third is coming out.

The first game was a game I was hoping to pick up in a bundle at some point for the Gmod assets, but it never happened. I think I got the sequel that way, though. Always seemed like a neat game.

I remember playing the first game ages and ages ago and really enjoying the combat and how strange the world was, reminds me now a bit of how alien stuff like Kenshi's setting is. I think I was a bit sad it ended so abruptly, like a cliffhanger. Think I wishlisted the second one but never got around to playing it, should probably give it a shot, through reviews were a bit mixed on release, if I remember right.

ACE seems like one of those indie teams who always comes up with some pretty interesting ideas for games, but never make a big splash. But it's good to have developers like them out there, giving some breaths of fresh air with unusual stuff. Rock of Ages was fun (and big enough to turn into a series), never tried out The Deadly Tower of Monsters, though.

Highly recommend playing both. There's jank but it's fun as fuck and the world is amazingly creative.

Two is like One but expanded on, with a less linear structure and more focus on plot and backstory. It's also co-op since Ghat teams up with Rimat throughout the game.

Do you know if the third game is gonna be an RPG, just like they were originally planning with the first one?

Not surprised. Zeno Clash 2 was a bit RPGish with quests and whatnot. I'm really looking forward to the third game, they've added so fucking much from the look of it.
>First and third person switching
>Gear
>Being able to switch combat styles on the fly

That's why I am always interested in what they are doing. Abyss Odyssey looked like a pretty plain procedurally generated rogue-lite but it had interesting ideas and was enjoyable to play in my opinion. The fighting system wasn't something like DMC, Arkham or Bayonetta, it was more like Street Fighter 2 and games like that. The setting and plot was interesting as well.
It was good enough for me to finish it.

Haven't played Eternal Cylinder though but that also looks unique. It's about an unstoppable cylinder rolling across an alien world, crushing everything. As part of the life cycle I guess. The player is a small critter that is evolving so it can be always be one step ahead of the cylinder. It is presented like a David Attenborough nature documentary.
If that doesn't sound interesting to someone they can go back to playing CoD sequels and complain about the lack of creativity in the vidya industry.

I've only played the first game and man it's a trip. I feel like some of the devs were under the influence of something while doing the art design and voice acting.
